Here's the only thing I can get off clip ATM

Battery was too big 😂😂 so I've checked basic connections up by the upc/battery ,nothing seems amiss, I did notice there is two upc with the car x84 N2 and an x84 N3 not sure which should be in it, DSC_4125.webpDSC_4124.webp

Now I should mention again this was bought with the steering locked/not locked problem, so I'm uncovering attempted fixes as we go along

There is two yellow wires stripped and joined, is this an oe arrangement that was stripped back for diagnostics and just not tidied up or is the other wire ment for somewhere else?

Oh yeahhhhhhh, so just waiting on a virgin lock to arrive from renbreak and I'll go at it again,
I also picked up a brand new exide battery for €50 so that's a win

So renbreak are beyond a disaster, I got sorted from a crowd in Scotland that have reconditioned it and virginsed it,

Plugged it in and same fault, I guess I was being overly optimistic on that curing it,

But I have somewhere to work from, I'm not sure if it's even getting power

Few screen shots from clip if anyone wants to throw ideas at me DSC_0029.webpDSC_0028.webpDSC_0027.webp

Back probe the steering lock connector on each wire and record your multimeter readings.
Someone will be able to narrow down what’s out of range from your results and then we will have some direction on what is missing/at fault 👍

Glad and interested to see you are starting to narrow down the route cause of this fault with the help of Red21 now in the other post for this fault 👍

Funny how we bond with certain cars for reasons we can’t always explain-I know what you mean about missing a previously owned car.
Although this car presents a challenge it will get sorted on here and in time this will build the background to the ownership of this one 👍
Genuinely interested to see what turns out to be the cause of fault, look forward to further updates 👍

Welllllllllll, I'm neck deep in diagrams and making test probes etc I've pinned out the lock to the uch and all wires are intact, @neil brook found a ph1 ecu set so I picked that up, as I don't know the history of it the previous owners were jump starting it regularly before it stopped
Red21 has been seriously helping me out

Good work and although you haven’t found the fault it is still progress as you are eliminating what can be causing the fault.
Once you are happy with the integrity of the wiring it would be good to carefully test what you have (voltage ) on each wire to determine what is missing .
If the car has been repeatedly jump started it maybe a module/unit at fault.
Great that you have an ECU set and guys with in depth knowledge on here.
