Megane 2RS Trophy from the Netherlands

Would you recommend the Godspeed front discs and bigger calipers? Need to replace the discs all round so just looking at the options. Cheers
Bigger calipers and good pads, most definitely.
At the moment i'm a bit on the fence about the discs tbh. My last set (340mm 2-piece) lasted 1,5 years before they cracked. This was after 15k km combined road and track use. They were the old design which seemed to crack with other people aswell. I then swapped to my current 355mm 2-piece set, which are (presumably, yet to check) warped within 7 months.
If i'd have to pick again i'd probably stick to 340mm plain Brembo discs, as they're like 6 times cheaper aswell.

Cheers Martijn, thanks for the response.

Had an appointment last monday to get the brake discs milled to get rid of them being slightly warped.

But the Megane decided to throw me the Steering Locked fault. Could be multiple things so ordered one of those emulators to see if it would work.

The emulator i found on Amazon, which had the fastest shipping and wasn't to expensive.

Started to get rid of all the plastics, noticed i took way to much off. As I came closer to the Steering Lock thing I noticed the torx being slightly loose.

I tightened it, pressed the start button and the Megane fired right up. Put all the plastics back in place and job done. Definitely beats all the other options repair wise.

Car looking very filthy on the winter wheels/tyres.

Not much else going on. Recently bought a Mondeo MK5 Wagon to use as a daily/family car as our son got born end of November.
And the yellow Compomotive wheels are now at the powder coater getting a different color, so will update when they get back.

So brought the superduper yellow Compomotives to the powdercoater. Never really like the yellow, but now the tyres on them were done thought i'd get them done.

They're now Gunmetal Metallic. Really like how they turned out. Next up is getting some semi's for them.
Other then that some maintenance will be done, aircon will be fixed and then it's time for Spa in April. Maybe do a cheeky Ringtrip beforehand.

Had some fresh Yokohama A052 fitted to the Compomotives. Ready for Spa in April.

Also ran into an issue where the oil pressure gauge was stuck on 8 bar. Which is odd. Fortunately it was only an issue with the wiring.

Annoying location, have to take half the car apart. But now it works like it should be, very handy to be able to read the oil pressure when driving on track.

With the rear seats removed and the cage in, rear was still slightly higher then i liked, so dropped the rear with 0,5 cm and now it's spot on.

Bring on 'Ring this weekend and Spa a couple of weeks later!

So before the full trackday at Spa in April, planned a small trip to the Ring last Saturday, also to see if the car still performs like it should when pushing it. So friday evening off to the gas station to put some fuel in so I could sleep a bit longer on saturday morning. Trip to said gas station was fine. But when trying to leave the Megane decided it didn't want to. Flashing headlights, flashing cockpit and randomly activated windscreen wipers.
Called my neighbour if he could pop over with some jumper cables, as it looked like the typical Renault empty battery disco. That didn't work, so it was time to put my subscription to the Dutch equivalent of the RAC to good use. They showed up incredibly quick, within 25 minutes. The guy put some jumpers cables on the car and poof it started. Thanked the guy and drove the car home via a detour to charge the battery (if that was the issue).
But after turning off the car on the drive it started with the disco immediately. So my guess is that the battery just died. Popped to local autoparts shop next morning to get a new one, which sorted all the issues fortunately!

So Ringtrip postponed to sunday, left early and did a couple of laps. Car performed great, conditions were perfect aswell! As I wanted to keep the fresh AO52 for Spa I just left the Braids on with PS5's fitted.

2 weeks left before the Spa trackday. Can't wait to try the car on the Yokohama semi's. Fingers crossed for some dry weather. The 2 front wheels of my set of Braids seem to be warped, I blame Scotland, so will get this addressed before Spa and then we should be good to go.
