Clio 225 Clio Build

Well managed to find replacement throttle body for the car turns out it came off a 1.6 8v...would have saved me loads of time hunting through car breakers on monday lol ive order 2 just to be save only costing me £40 and one is new old stock

but i managed to sheer the bolt that goes through the dogbone mount into the bell housing last night :@...but ill shall hopefully get it out tonight with a set of easy outs from work so might manage to get it to crail for a few 1/4 runs and annoy some german and fords in the process

Good effort, thats an M10 no? Must have had some pull behind that to break it!

Yeah it's a M10 but I was missing the metal brace that's goes to the gearbox plus the fact the 4 paddle is anarchy in 1st wouldn't have helped but it's all back together now but my oil leak is worse...so having a week or so off to gather my thoughts a few parts then firing back in about it

Been off here for abit cars been sat since this miss hap oil leak is worse and no motivation to fix it just now.... But I've bought a couple of goodies for it
1.set of 2118's
2.scenic modified shifter off CS
But plan to pull all the interior out fit the buckets and harnesses machine calipers so I can run 280mm setup and fit the 2118's and other 15's
Will also fix the leak and back to mapper for more power

yeah i popped it up on there. it feels awesome, stick is at the right height now, was always a bit of a stretch for me. The chap that does them says they are stiff shift and short shift but i dont buy it and cant see any modifications to the ball to stiffen it up. They are modded scenic ones so are shorter than they would be but i cant see or feel it being any stiffer personally. I also measured the throw on my original and afterwards and its within 5-10mm of the original throw, just alot higher up (y) you can also adjust the position of the stick using the linkage, i will be moving mine about 10mm further back but that's due to mine being in the wrong position to start with and some numptys have slightly collapsed the gear linkage meaning it needs to come off to fix.

Yeah I've got to stretch a little due to being long legged so if helps great plus fraction of the cost of the pms one

Sorry Lads haven't been using forums for a while

quick update for the car got the oil leak fixed...ran the car for a while then hit a kerb doing 70-80 (my own stupid fault)
I knackered the passenger side wishbone, bent the strut and kinked the roof, so car has been laid up in the unit on axle stands for last 3 months

I pulled the engine out it last weekend and im no on the look out for either Ph1 172, Mk1 clio RSi or even a R19 the last 2 id prefer just to get a sold shell and build from there
