I realised this morning a few numbers.......

If I stick with the theme to match thread title '11 year later' I have until 31 August 2028 to have completed '11 years later it's finished' 🤔😄

⏱️ 3 years 7 months ⏱️

February 2028 my car will also turn 40 years old 😱

And son who helped me collect (was 6 then lol) would be eligible for a driving licence and able to drive it 🤯.....

Best get a move on 😂😂😂

So you’ve got time to make your arms like this now you know your dimensions

It’s a scary thought the young ones being able to drive, more so what they’ll be driving as car culture is a different scene now

That's way too fancy for me @Norwich Nick lol

Yes car scene and general tinkering not what it was and probably never the same again tbf 😥

On demand living and pace of life along with 800bhp is just a remap away with 20 super computers to make you a driving god 😁😁😁 why would you want to mess about doing what we do 🫣

Plan to have debatable brace bar on front wishbone pickups but will be angled to retain full space for cooling plans

Reviewing front top wishbone, especially the one which sits outside the chassis rail more (std chassis rail are not the same either side) and if I tie into new tube, some extra strength of 4/5mm sheet strategically used or previous added sheet steel/strength put in enough 🤔

Couple random pics of what I had in offcut pile food for thought

If you start setting deadlines you put yourself under pressure with status and finance too if it gets expensive. I like to have the ability to walk away and come back whenever I like.

Just go with the flow and enjoy it.

Always a balance and ££ will always forces a build like this to slow with some bits needed (unless your rich 🤑)

I can influence my labour and only real focus is finish fabrication to the best of my abilities and look to get painted, but even that can slip if needed.....family and work automatically take priority.

Will just keep chipping away and boring you lot with my spam 🤪

Loooooong week of work, knackered.....so the logical thing to do is a couple of hours on the car to clear my 🧠💪

Cut some longer bits of tube, interesting angles between the 2 but worked out well, tacked in both sides

Got one side front leg done and other side needs trimming and prep next time

Had a quick look as leaving at something on my list with the rear frame while I had an offcut a good size to get an idea

Thinking saddle clamps on either side to keep removable but add some extra strength to reduce any inward flex under heavy load

Will play about with balance of what fits well v most strength

Got on with radiator / cooling plans 😎

Made a very poor flowing cardboard radiator and pre rad for charge cooler 😄 50mm thickness main rad and allowed 22-32mm for pre rad. First test went 22mm (72mm thick) but need to review as still have the A/C rad to factor in 🥶

So got on with test fitting and worked out can go a bit taller if needed and have some variance on angle but is +/- 5ish deg but sitting happily about 45deg 👍

Sooooo decided best get my fancy undertray on and then the bumper fell on and boxed in rad outlet 🙃

Having a look have space to fit 2 aux rads behind the fog lights that could work

Have to think about air out and how efficient they would be on dimensions (could use as DSG oil cooler) also make us to see what fits properly but lets see
