Finally got a bit of therapy in the garage tonight....full on with work and not a moment free all week until tonight, so dragged my pickled brain into action

Usual thing of clean up hydro80, got on with beating, shaping, cutting, drilling the ikle corner piece. Got some weld primer on and had a 5mins of welding before leaving feeling much better and even more knackered lol 🥰

Couple of hrs in and finished off welding the corner and solid now. Did usual clean up, hydro80...while out gave the sills a good coating. Did a bit of prep in the front removing a few leftover bits before starting to see what joy is waiting on the other side 😀. As fuel tank/cap not needed may change the inner arch layout but may just repair as is.....

So couple more hours picking away looking for trouble lol

While making a start it is clear some surrounding bits need unstitching as pitting almost certainly going to have more rust hiding, all good fun.....now with the conversion I am not 100% sure if the larger wheels will sacrifice some of the rot and maybe even inner arches so may part fix for now and when back on rottiserie tackle some of the more difficult to weld areas.

Then drilled out a few bits no longer needed, maybe come in handy for someone converting a campus?

Sooo lots still going on sourcing parts, measuring measuring, test fitting, measuring

Hit a big problem whem my original plan of geometry did not like the extra width of 5 pot lump and dsg.......so sacked it off in a mood, got drunk and thought about throwing the towel in and what else I could buy instead

Helped a friend early this morning fit some bad arse heavy doors to his barn, some family stuff and decided I dont like to fail and off to garage I went 🤪

So bit of trimming and into the 5 it went at the correct angle and height this time based on previous measurments......chunk of time later think I can JUST about get double wishbones in without having to go extra wider.....alas A/C in current postion a non started. So feeling all excited again and seeing engine in makes me make group B 5 pot noises lol

So back to making jig for wishbones to make spaceframe and see what wants to try and ruin my happiness next.

Thanks to @Mark_L for keeping me straight with my madness 👍
