Tuesday 90min treat.....

Top tip to self, trim any excess metal after welding, fine tweaking and spot welding and trust your 1st measurment/cut 😅

Spot the new wider gap than planned lol....no great drama and bridging with weld just makes it a slower with making sure to let cool sufficiently

Coming on nicely! Welding looks good to me mate!

So with picking up lurgy felt like 💩 the past week, and with wedding anniversary in the mix only got back in the garage this evening for a bit....

....decided I enjoyed all the sill repair work so much I would pick on the other side with a few extra levels of joy waiting. So door had to come off, what a pita but off and def some extra rot as expected but all be fine

Your Saturday quota 😀

Same appoach as other size really, ground down old spot welds of floor panel edge left from drilling out, wire wheel of doom and clean up, bit of dolly and hammer action to get true and hydro80 coating.

Clamped in place ran 1mm cutting disc to get even gap down panel and weld it, 2 plug welds and a few spot weld before 4hr play time up but is solid 👌

As my son would say 'I will take that' 😉

With my one and ONLY (to avoid divorce lol 😆) power hr limited progress...and pics today, but finished welding in the front section of inner sill, dressed inside of inner sill section from yesterday and filled any pin holes and made small section with oem hole and blasted as calling time...🥵

Next session will finish dressing welds, final check for any pin holes etc and give it some hydro80 and primer

Tuesday session....

Bit of a tidy up of work to date, seam welded inside of inner sill, hydro80 and as a treat got wire wheel of doom out and removed some underseal to get more presents 🎁😀

Started cutting out rear seaction of inner sill but need to slow it down to make sure I can copy all crud bits coming off.

Oh and worked out I hate welding right handed.....sooo feels wrong and makes for less pretty welds lol
