Right........
Late 90's..........first car was a Nova SXi, started as a 1.2 ended up as a 2.0 16v XE. I embraced being what is now called a chav, it was the norm back then. Sold it for more than I bought it, but spent shit loads on it!

Grew up a bit and sold it at 19 to buy my first House, bought a Corsa GSi, this is the only photo I can find of it, had it about 2 months and it was broken into twice, I considered it bad luck and moved on. Sold it for more than I bought it

Just turned 20 and bought a 1.8 Astra SRI, it was slow......... still.......sold it for more than I bought it

Had a health scare at 21, turned out to be nothing in the end, but during the investigations by the hospital, my licence was revoked. It sucked at the time, I sold the Astra not knowing how long I was going to be without my licence. Turns out it was only 3 months. Decided to step up a gear when I got it back. Bought a TVR Chimaera. Smelt like a wet canoe, but sounded awesome and went like stink. It was only the 4.0 V8 which is the smallest engine they did. Loved this car, taught me a lot about rear wheel drive, nearly killed me a couple of times, had a lot of respect for it. Blew the Salve cylinder and master cylinder just after I got married so got it fixed and moved it on just over a year. Sold it for more than I bought it.

Then I got a weekend hairdressing job..........this happened. (actually a real nice reliable car which is what I needed), Owned it 2 years and lost a little, but wasn’t too bad.

Got a new job that came with a fuel card and car allowance, the money from the Boxster bought the Ex-wife a real nice 225 Audi TT, I used the change to put a deposit on this and buy the beast in the background.

Loved the BMW but I was smashing some miles on it and all I could think of was the depreciation........got out after two years and managed to just get the money back I put down on it. The company I worked for got too big too quickly and rumours were bound about it going under. Decided to sell at just the right time. Some colleagues / good mates got really stung.
Decided to just buy a motor with the deposit. Cheap, Fun I loved it.

2 years great fun owning the Clio, sold it for more than I bought it. As you can see, house was for Sale. Mrs told me she had feelings for someone else, then told me she was wrong and wanted to make it work..................that didn’t work for me...................later potata......................best thing I’ve done!
Bought an S2000....................fucking brilliant car. Loved it, only sold it due to the mileage going up. Sold it for more than I bought it. Looking at the prices now I’d have sold it for over £1000 more now!

My Brother had a FN2 Civic Type R, he wasn’t a fan and was just going to trade it in against a new car. I said I’d give him the trade in value. Only had it just over 6 months. Hated it...........skittish, crashy, nothing like the Clio or s2000, didn’t give me any confidence. Obviously sold it for more than I bought it LOL

Decided to go back to a previous hack, bought another 320d about 18 months ago. A lot of car for the money in my opinion and I do around 20k miles a year so unfortunately I do tend to think about MPG etc. Nice motor but due to the miles it’s going to be going in the next 3 to 6 months.
I could do with advise on what to get next TBH. I can’t have a V8 or something that returns 20mpg, if it averages 30mpg it comes on the radar. Currently looking at 2.7 Cayman's or the latest RenaultSport Megane.............I’m guessing I’m not asking on an unbiased forum
To sum it up...................best car I’ve owned is below. It’s the one I’ve had the longest and the one I don’t plan on selling..................EVER!
