wobbly bolts

anyone used these yet,ive been told by a wheel and tyre place today they are perfectly safe to use to change stud pattern from 110 to 108 just wanted to know if anyone else has tried them..im very tempted to order a certain set of rims but the wobbly bolt thing putting me off a bit.

Dave G has used them in the past with no problems.... I have a full set including 4 locking nuts (all brand new) if you want to pay less than Ebay charge - let me know. :D

I too have been offered them - but instead went for the 'if its meant its right' option

One wheel and tyre firm I asked said 'definately fine in a 1.1 Corsa but on a car with loadsa torque thru the front wheels - thats ur choice mate chuckle chuckle'

I ordered a set of 5x108's lol

wobbly bolts ok but you will def need the proper size spigot rings to centralize the wheel. which wheels are they, i can get you about 8 different styles to fit r21t.

regards johnspin 8)

these are the wheels im looking to get http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120038525185&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:UK:1
i emailed them and they say they will come with correct spiggots and bolts 205/40 tyres plus free locking nuts and correct spacers its just the wobbly bolt thing i was concerned about, they have been designed to work and no problems that i know of have been reported but there is that little bit of doubt still ](*,)
now getting quotes for a respray aswell so i best try and get some overtime in

u can get the wolfrace octanes in a 5x108 fit anyway so y bother with the wobbly nuts way!?

:?

Wolfrace say you cant get em in a 5x108

R-Tec say you cant get em in a 5x108

Wheelbase say you cant get em in a 5x108

So where are you asking lol, cos both myself and Graham tried getting them :?

Most "good" wheel supliers will get you 5x108 but its easy. The order the rim un-drilled and when the arived the let thel drill (normaly at extra cost)

Rob man - thats madness, I phoned and phoned everywhere for them - effin peenarses :)

I stand corrected

there the exact ones im looking to get, they have advertised them as 5x108 but they are not....they are infact 5x110 but they supply the wobbly bits to make them fit 5x108(false advertising or what)
i spoke direct to wolfrace and they defo dont make them in 108 fitment but i didnt think to ask for an undrilled set might give that a try cheers jo

hehehe! my pleaseure! although the main problem with the octanes is that even tho theyre 17s the look a hellova lot smaller than wot they are! if u want some really nice wheels go to rochford tyres! theyve got sum stunnin wheels and the prices aint bad!

although if u do want sumthing similar and in my eyes a nicer wheel try the wolfrace snipers blacks! they defo make em in 5x108 heres a pic!

:-k there nice apart from the 'split rim bolts' going round im not too keen on those but its hard to tell what a set of wheels look like until they are on the car.

u can always take the bolts out and spray em to match mind! lol!

ha ha,anyone know what these are? tsw something or others, personally i like them a lot and my mrs hates them so might get a set lol
......

tsw rockets i think they are called! u can get em in 5x108 as far as i kno! well i cant get em in work anyway!

u can get tsw's in a 5x108 but only in a 50 offset so u will need a hub centric spacer add about 50-60 quid for them on top of ur wheel price.

I could never shell out on a set of wheels more than the cars worth LOL

As for wobbly bolts, personally when i'm hangin the quaddie out round a corner I worry about the tyres coming off the rims, so wobbly bolts? No way!
