Will this T25 turbo fit a Renault 5 GT Turbo?

well if your manifold flange is T25 yes.

as for the rest don't know.

that is a bit expensive though, so a new/refurb t25 cheaper than that a few weeks ago

I wouldn't match that relatively big turbo to a small capacity GTT lump myself.

The AR ratio is on the quick spool side of things but I think you need to know what the ar ratio is,

for example a 0.7 on a T2 is totally different to that of 0.7 on a T04 say.

The AR ratio is the Area/Radius. The spirals ratio is ther same as as the spiral shrinks at the centre the radius is less.

A larger AR takes longer to spool so good for high revs and big power, the smaller the faster it spools.

Thanks guys, helpful info. I had a T25 and was going to replace it with another T25. After you saying it isnt a good idea for a smaller ltr car engine, I think I'll have a look for a T2/T25. Does anyone know of a good place to try and find a T2/T25? (new if possible).

Some of the Tuners sell them for around £500 WITH v.a.t etc.. but that seems a bit on the pricey side to me.

Thanks for the help.

well its personal preference, it will be very laggy.

I would rather a small turbo engine to be on boost quicker so it feels like a bigger engine under the bonnet.

Dont go through k-tec racing, where do you think they get their turbos from, go straight to the source.

Turbo Developments - Turbo Remanufacture - Reconditioned Turbochargers - Turbo Repairs

Try this company and speak to Adam there, he will sort you out a decent turbo for what you want and a lot cheaper than £500.

The one on eBay i wouldn't even touch if somebody paid me to put it on the car. Lots of people have measured up what these sizes are and 99% of the time they are not what they say, and the build quality of them are shocking. Yes you may get a 1 year warranty with them but thats just for the turbo not the rest of the damage when these things falls apart or the time it takes removing and refitting. its just not worth the hassle.

As for what size turbo depends on what you want to do. If you want to go for a nice spirited drive around the country lanes and id go for a t2/t25. I had this on my old engine running 18psi and this was great fun. If going for track or some more power id go for a t25, yes they might be a bit more laggy but it great for the power :)

Bigfoot ur a legend....thanks for the link :) I had a T25 and I didnt enjoy it as it felt too laggy compared to the T2 (and I think thats what a 5gtt is all about the fast spinning instant boost). Its for road use and the country lane fun.. cheer mate 8)
