5 GT Turbo valve clearance/altenator belt ?

hi to everyone.i would like to ask if someone has ever tried with std camshaft anything else in valve clerance except 20/25 ?

also above 7.000rpm the alt belt takes off .any tips ?

thanks

its smaller in diameter so you need a shorter belt too. i think a fair few people are running them. If yours is constantly throwing it off though you might have something out of line

New alternator base bushes and steady arm bushes make a world of difference , if the car is throwing belts also the cup cars ran an extended bolt off the timing chain cover, to suppress any flexing of the belt, also genuine Renault smooth ribed belt help..... Dont forget above 7k regular, on a standard car , you will drop a value eventually..........

Happy Holidays...... :).

You can go .15/.20ex on stock cam. Its slightly quieter but made no difference otherwise.

The belt throwing issue will be down to either worn alternator bushes or the pulleys are not aligned properly. Not worth revving to 7k on stock cam though imo, with a hot cam i can go to 7800 no issues with campus belt and pulley.

Also make sure you have a decent belt, I had some rubbish aftermarket one and it kept slipping. I put an OE belt on and no more issues. I did also add the anti slip bracket too.

no mate i live in greece not in dubai.when i say cold i mean 5 degrees out side with a lot of moisture.lethal combination.
