5 GT Turbo The winter project. EFI and lots more

Not knocking it ( or Scoff! ) just mentioned it thats all :)

As I said before, you mention all you like. Want as much info as possible. :)
Interesting people are using the vxr's. Are they the same cc/flow rates then.
I have seen threads with people using the Saabs.

Well, nearly there, parts courtesy of Chris @ EFI Parts. Loom, sensors, ECU, trigger wheel etc.
Ebay............................Saab red injectors, FSE fuel regulator, Bosch 044 fuel pump.
Still to get, swirl pot, fuel lines.
Hope to make a start beginning of December.

Good stuff. Looking forward to updates form this....when I fitted my 420d it looked like someone had thrown a hand-grenade into a wiring factory lol. When the thing fired up I was both elated and astonished i'd got it all right :D

Wasnt sure mate. Scoff advised the Saab's so went with them.
He's got base maps to get us running too.
I used the VXR's too on Scoffs suggestion. Man they are CHEAP. Like, £120 for a set including rail and reg (but they went in the bin).

Made 242bhp @ 18psi no probs, would have done more but the clutch was slipping if it was cranked any higher. Confident it would have seen 250 easily. I believe @la21t has a set for sale with only a coupla thousand miles on if you do decide to give em a shot.

nice project. will be intrested to see when this is up and running as looking to change my turbo for something abit less laggy.
