The Film I have just watched...

Black Widow.

I mean, they're milking it a bit given she's already dead. This (aside from some origin story stuff) takes place after Civil War, but before Infinity War.
It's exactly what you expect, plenty of action, great fight choreography, good CGI. Story holds it's own though it's probably one of the mid-range Marvel films out of the 24 MCU films released thus far.

I'd give it a 7.5/10 but i'm going to bump it to an 8 because Scarlett Johanssen has a most excellent butt :)

Pig

I know, I know, i'm setting myself up for a shit-film-rant aren't I?

But actually, it wasn't TERRIBLE. Certainly a lot better than the rest of Cage's recent absolute bollocks. It was just the story of a broken man trying to get his pig back. No action, or violence in the sense of a revenge thriller. I feel like I should hate it but I just don't. 6/10 because I was surprised it wasn't utter dogshite.

Nobody

Now this was a film that I saw advertised and didn’t think it was any good, but loved it when I watched it!

Kinda like Taken/Bourne Identity with a totally indestructible Bloke taking on everyone.. but it’s worth it just for the scenes with Doc Brown (from the Back to the Future films) who plays his father… funny..

8/10

Fast 9

Just....fuck off mate this is getting beyond a joke now. A home made rocket car in SPACE? Space suits made from diving suits? Are you taking the piss? Not to mention the FAMILY man that actually has a brother that wasn't mentioned for EIGHT FILMS. I was at a 2/10 for this, until the blue GTR pulled into the drive at the end, and for that i'll up it to a 4. But still. Utter bilge. Wasn't even that funny either, fight scenes were lacking. Crap.

The Suicide Squad

Went in with low expectations, however, you know what? I got a few laughs out of it. Yes, far fetched, cliche, over the top - BUT it was funny, extremely violent, completely unashamed of itself. I can even forgive the giant evil starfish. 7/10 for the film plus a point cos I want Harley to ruin my life...8/10.

Yep, it’s a complete shower of sh1te… these guys can do anything, are indestructible, come back from the dead, and have an endless supply to heavy duty military hardware at a whim.. C130 plane to launch a Pontiac Fiero into space?? No problem..

1/10. Getting to the point I can’t watch this sh1t now..

Free Guy

A view of a Sin-City type computer game from one of the people who live in the town. Great little film and proof there's still enough imagination in the world to come up with something new & innovative!

Absolutely loved it, with loads of great little background jokes that tech savvy people will love (My wife explained them to me!)

10/10 from me!!

The Addams Family 2 (Animated)

Funny, dark humour, great family watch. 8/10. What you'd expect really!

Free Guy

Thought this was actually quite good, me and the (older) kids thoroughly enjoyed it - particularly watching what was going on in the background with player charcters. Plenty of laughs, typical Ryan Reynolds comedy and the Chris Evans moment was sublime. 9/10 for a family funtime weekend movie.

Dune (pt1)

Now, as a lifelong Sci-Fi fan I was really looking forward to this - and I was expecting to be blown away. A full on 9 or 9,5/10, but right now i'm at a 7, maybe 7.5. Not bad by any means but it didnt have that edge. What the fuck is Spice and why is it so essential? Why did every scene feel like it was twice as long as it needed to be? Why were the large battles...not? Where was the character development?

Do watch it, the sweeping landscapes and cinematography are excellent, the CGI and vehicle designs are superb and innovative, the score is great - but I just think they told an hours worth of story in 2 1/2 hours.

Got that ready for this eve, I watched the original a few months back in prep for it and how you've described this one is how I viewed that....
