Phase one with missing coolant and smoking like crazy. Quick dry compression test and one was miles out (can't remember off the top of my head now) no obvious signs of mayo, oil still looking clean.
Thoughts on a postcard.
General rule of thumb - split liner will cause a full cylinder miss and it'll run on three all the time. Head gasket will generally fire on 4, maybe start and run on 3 and clear after a few seconds.
But yeah, missing coolant, down on compression i'd say HG. Pull the spark plugs and see if one is an obviously different colour.
