Yeah, I am holding back until we have some semblance of normality on the horizon before posting up and raising everyone's hopes...
On a personal note, [v6plaque]002[/v6plaque] has been SORN'ed all year long, so, I for one cannot wait to get going again. :race:

Update... I’ve now had first jab. When the rules allow me to be in a van with two other people, then the events tent could make an appearance. (If it is allowed)

Fingers crossed.

We are not due to receive ours until at least May. :(

However, I have still booked the hotel for The Classic 2021 (with free cancellation), but still holding back from posting up details until we have more clarity on the COVID situation.

Got my first one yesterday and it will be 12 weeks for the second( mid may) so 2021 looks pretty buggered up also no travel outside our area, Banff and Buchan, till after Easter at the absolute earliest and no travel for holidays/ entertainment till well after then

I doubt i'l be seeing a vaccine this year in my category, though I had the Virus in October anyway so carry an immunity for now anyway. It was unpleasant, and normally with any virus-ey things I'm unwell for maybe 2, 3 days tops - this was a clear 2 weeks with a bit in the middle where I thought I was recovering only to nosedive again.

ClioSport festival has already been cancelled sadly, I feel others are about to follow soon :(

What's everyones thoughts on this ?

The event is supposed to be going ahead, and tickets are on sale
Yes, I will post the details up shortly - basically, we have until 31st March to buy tickets at the discounted Early Bird rate, after which the prices will increase.

The tricky part is getting event insurance, I will contact them again and ask how things stand.
Great.

I'm buying some tickets for the Silverstone Classic weekend. It's a great event and I find it hard to contemplate it NOT going ahead (and I'm a pessimist apparently). So, count me in for the V6 Stand if the Club wants to go ahead, as I'm 18 months on without having driven the Vee in anger.

Good stuff.

Do you have the Discount Code? If not, please hold off until I post it up - the code also provides you a display pass for your Vee, which gets you into the infield parking area.

I will post up as soon as I find a spare moment to gather all information.

Last years have been carried over I think?

Fingers crossed looks like we may eventually get to have an outing during the summer of 2021 after all! :race:

Suffice to say we are off to a great start, but we need more Vees at The Classic 2021, as this year's event is officially known. Please follow the instructions below to book your Car Club Display (CCD) package (each CCD purchase entitles the purchaser to 2 x Adult Tickets + 1 x Infield Display Pass for their Vee).

Shown below are the prices - Note that Early Bird prices are held until midnight 31st March 2021:

To book your CCD package(s) follow these instructions:
1. Decide which 'Ticket Type' suits your needs.
2. Click on the following link and scroll down until you see 'Car Club Display Packages': LINK.
3. Click on the option that meets your needs and enter the number of CCD packages (note; 1 CCD package = 2 Adult tickets). Click 'CONTINUE'.
4. You will then be presented with various other options to spend your money on, and it is up to you if you do, but any purchase you make will not be part of the CCD package. As such, if I were you, I would scroll straight down to the end of the page and click 'CONTINUE'.
5. Next is the checkout page. Click on 'Do you have a Promotion Code?'. They have not made it obvious that this is 'clickable' (crafty!), but when you do, you will be presented with a box where you can enter/paste the CCD discount code (2020CCD020). Pressing 'SUBMIT' should confirm that you have received a 50% discount.

If you have any issues in making a booking do let me know via PM.

Who knows, but this may be the final outing to The Classic as an event organised by v6Clio.net, so make the most of it...

That is a good discount of 50% for a club code. I wonder why they put the full price so high at over £200 for the weekend when surely anyone booking a club ticket is with a club so therefore gets the discount?
obviously the discount reduces as time goes on to the point where if you book the month of the event you pay the full price?
but anyway it certainly seems worth it to book within the next couple of months if you can commit.
I hope to attend at some point.

I’m Just booking also. Question, can I buy an additional ccd tickets for family members with the discount code. The discount code doesn’t work on std admission tickets so would end up costing me another £250 for the 5 of us.

Thanks
Carl

You could, but since only Clio V6's are allowed into the infield display area, if they don't have a Vee, they will have to park up in the public car park. Hope that answers your question.
