Clio Ricardo's Liquid Yellow 200 EDC

Amazing pictures - glad you had a belter of a day as we say up here!!!

F I really want one of these now >:O

I take it you had no issues with the gearbox throwing up an overheating warning light?

Hehe cheers
Absolutely no hint of a warning light, just to say again that I've had the transmission software updated at Renault a couple of weeks ago so I don't know whether that's a factor. I also heard of stories of lights throwing up on dash post mapping but again nothing. Thinking about it now the bloke I was talking to kept banging on about lights coming up but I think with the extra torque post map he might have been on about the TC light.
So far so good, maybe a more hard-core track session in the mid 20s centigrade might put some extra strain on the components but as it was last Sunday it performed faultless. My only observation was brake pads, after being out on track for a while I think I over did it and they needed to cool down. I could stay out there longer but the pads were saying different! So everytime I went out it would be for a certain number of laps. Maybe an upgrade on pads, as mentioned I'll change the fluid to Motul.

Brilliant stuff mate- RS Tuning for the win with the remap!!!!

I'd heard and seen the warning on the gearbox coming up after like 8 mins or so on track, so it'll be the way the map has been done and also the software update won't of done any harm either I'm sure.

Brake pads will be a great way to enjoy more track time - Fedoro started making the full range for the mkIV last summer so you have loads of options now :)

Paul at RS has definitely worked wonders, he did actually say that if I'm doing trackdays that an aftermarket intercooler will be needed. A 2nd hand Airtec kit came up weeks ago for £300, i should have snapped it up. I might message the guy to see if he still has it.

I might be tempted by the DS1.11s again :D

So since the map and ITG induction kit, the car sounds like it has a dump valve. Every now and then a chatter but on the whole you have the spool up, which would be almost bearable but with the auto gearbox it Chops it about and makes it sound ridiculous.

So I've ordered a pair of end caps to do away with the resonator pipe.

Our very own TR club member Scratcher has been plying his trade and been posting up threads with various awesome machinery over the last few months on here and on Facebook. What did it for me and knew I had to sort something out was the M3 he had in, to me the finish was epic. I'd made my mind up, the Clio has to go to DetailR.

So, it's booked in on the 3rd week of April to be worked on. Really looking forward to the end result.

If the link works this is what won me over :)

Good man Ric, you won't be disappointed with the ceramic finish....

I must admit am tempted to get this on the mini this year, as don't have the time to wash my car anywhere near as often as I used to.

Keep us updated.

Had a mini meet up yesterday which gave me a chance to have a run out.... And take a couple of photos. A mate of mine took some others but they're his so I won't 'borrow' them. Kev was also there too in the Trophy along with another club member in the facelift 66 plate Trophy in black.
