Clio Ricardo's Liquid Yellow 200 EDC

Sooo tempted to buy, £899 for a set of four new. The only thing is he's not a shop but deals with them direct to get decent prices. With a shop you can buy via credit card and pay it off the next day and you're covered with the card, and a shop and wheel company guarantees them. I asked him via PM about guarantees but didn't get an answer.

Where do you want to buy them?
He posted on the Meganesport FB page saying he could get them in, he deals with them direct to get a decent price. They're the same PCD as the Mk3 Meg, I assume he works alone and has them sent to his address or you place an order and they're sent to whoever buys them. I'd need some kind of backup cover financially just in case the deal for some strange reason fell through mid order.

Give it a go! They had a Trophy at the dealers I bought mine with the optional Akrapovic exhaust... 22k. If you drive it definitely go into Sport Mode, it's a completely different car. Personally for me as much as I like the Megane I couldn't afford the upkeep.

Looks amazing @Ricardo I am really really really (3 really's is a lot for me ha) tempted by one of these tbh, especially at the price points they are at now.

Very refined inside, easier than a meg275 to keep your licence, plus I actually would fancy an auto - hope you are enjoying the ownership thus far!

Looks awesome. My local Renault dealers have a trophy in brand new in the same colour, tempted to ask for a test hoon. Test driving (hooning) a 275 trophy megane this week :D
Parks in Motherwell (near Glasgow and one of the UK's few RenaultSport dealerships) have an ex demo with 800miles on the clock for 18k, with the pearl paint option, Akra exhaust and RS monitor, its a hell of a lot of car for the money!

But then again, there are facelift 265's with the cup pack that are silly cheap at like 16k or so - they were giving them away brand new at 18-19k new a few months ago! - there's a lot of value in either option imo, especially when compared to the likes of a Cupra 280, which are a huge step up in money and according to the journo's not as much of an engaging drive as the renaultsports

So I dropped the car off at the garage before work yesterday to have the Cooksport springs fitted. One choice was 2 Techs in Dartford who specialise in Renaults, logistics meant I couldn't get it there to drop off but used a company local that not only race saloons but also work on all matter of makes and models. It also worked out to be the same price to have them fitted so it's all worked out well. DSC_1793~4.webp DSC_1790~3.webp DSC_1796~3.webp DSC_1794.webp DSC_1788.webp

So, first time full to the brim with V Power, tank capacity is 45 litres. From the red light to the click its 40 litres. Tripped the meter and had another long run. Now the drive back from Plymouth at 260 miles gave me at best 36mpg, the 2nd drive out with cruise at 70mph and with the run flat tyres replaced with Dunlop Sport Maxx RT tyres gave me.

So, the last couple of weeks I've been in contact with our very own @andybond which resulted in that long drive yesterday to RS Tuning in Leeds. Special offer on the ITG filter so that was fitted first then a power run which was 189bhp and 172ft/lbs torque. Then after being on the rollers and the mapping all done, the end figures are: 226bhp and 250ft/lbs torque. It's a completely different car now, the massive hike in torque makes the difference. To be honest the 200 EDC needs this, when you think of the Copper Works, the VAG cars and what they're putting out it seems the Clio is somewhat lacking....... Not now
