Megane Ricardo's Budget Track 225

Had the obligatory text of Alex last night to say the battery has now been moved to the boot, the airbox is now in place. Cannot wait to see it. Sabelt steering wheel with cruise setup I believe to be going on tonight and still on for picking up tomorrow night. Ducting should be through so I'm tempted to have a go Thursday morning

You taking it to Blyton mate? Has it been mapped yet?
Yes it's gonna be at Blyton for sure. It's not mapped yet it's completely std power wise although from what I've been told ditching the OE airbox makes a difference. Apparently it's restrictive so hopefully with the replacement box with a bigger air feed that might have helped it.

Steering wheel setback, turns out Demon Tweeks have sold me a boss for a Renault 5 not a Megane 225 so it's not gonna be fitted. I've had the boss weeks now and unsure whether Tweeks will swap it out for the right one..... Dickheads

I wouldnt worry too much about the CAF. Its largely irrelevant in my experience at letting the meg make power.
If you think it won't make a difference I can leave it off. It's venting in the engine bay at the moment, I wasn't sure about heat. I bought some 102mm ducting and was looking to run it to the lower bumper grill, or at least have a look into it.

You can just about make it out on this pic

I looked into this when it first came up, different part numbers from what I could make out so assumed not. I have a Clio 1*2 one which I was going to offer as I don't have a car to put it on. Would be interesting to know though
Snap, looking online it don't appear to match..

Have the Megane back in my mitts tonight. Another big thanks to Alex for the work done, oh and to @Sash tonight, genius. We fitted the Carminat headunit to which it asked for the 4 digit code. Haven't got a clue it didn't come with it, she goes online and finds an American company that would send it via email. Being impatient I go ahead and pay for it to which they e mail it within 2 mins.... Bosh, it works..... Which is more than I can say about the speakers! So another job, but the headunit touch wood seems to be ok. It needs the disc to read the nav and apparently it has to stay in when using the system.

Anyway the battery is in the boot, airbox up front. Tomorrow morning a little bit of last minute tinkering then I head up Blyton way
