Wanted Renault 5 Gordini Atmo

Hi All,
Newbie who is desperately in need of a R5 Gordini Atmo! Middle aged man requires car to relive his youth so please help! Condition is not important but runner preferred. I know how rare these beasts are but please please let me know if you have anything worth considering.
If I don't act soon the wife will spend all the money! Please also contact me if you have a 2 door R5 that I could use to create a replica as well.

Hi, I assume a replica would cost quite a bit, from memory the automatic versions are more desirable if going the whole hog of an engine change as these have a removable front chassis cross brace.
There have been some cars for sale in the past 12 months, no doubt you're aware prices have been on the up, with prices from a 3k to 10k, another option could be a LHD, with a DIY conversion? Good luck with your search, some links attached.

The Atmo are rarer than the Turbo and obviously faster

Andrew on this site was talking about selling his GD turbo at one point? If you do find a car, cross check it on the 'wiki ' data base here on the site first, there maybe some useful history................

Whilst prices have been recently high , I do not see the 10k ones selling....

I know it's going to be a difficult task but this seems like the best place to start! I have seen the last couple sell on fleabay over the years so aware of the prices although I think some of the current prices might be a bit.........ambitious.
Good ideas and I will keep on looking. Always Leboncoin if all else fails.

A quick update and a massive thanks to Andrew as I am now the proud owner of a black Gordini! Never thought that would happen so obviously over the moon.
I pick it up this weekend and will post some pictures when I get back. Big thanks to Nick for parting with a loved car!
