Recaro's

You can get the fuse-able resistors off eBay , I bought 10 ready made up and already with heat shrink to protect them cost was less than £5 posted.

Iain

I wonder if Graeme can give us an insight into why Recaro's were not offered as an option on 2004/2005 cars? They were offered as an option in 182's & standard in the trophy in the same time period.

If they were an optional extra, it may have been a chance to 'make' money, not lose it.. surely?

If they were added as 'another' extra on top of a 27K car then potential purchasers may question why......?

But it's an 'optional' extra. The likes of Mercedes, BMW and VAG have been getting away with this sort of thing for years. ;)

Interested to find out how you get on Iain, what seats have you gone for?

To me it's still impossible to get them out from inside when they are bolted in from underneath... Lmao

I get it all now and can see how easy it is from inside the car, utilising the existing Clio runners.

Colin Evo 6 Recaro's for a bargain. Trip to Transcal in the new year before they go in the car and once I source a steering wheel too [smilie=yay.gif]

I can't see how it's possible either...keen to see pics as you go.

Good call on the seats fella. I think the treadlines are classy looking, thus needing a clio 197/200 steering wheel as opposed to the SABELT one...

Which one are you going for?

Phew! Glad someone has :)

As above, bargain! Mine suits the sabelt because of the silly cage and seats...I think the 197 wheel will look cracking on yours with the treadlines!

Ok

3.3 ohm resistors ordered (pack of 10 for £1 -ebay) and it seems like you can fit the seats from inside buy using the Clio runners. So the recaro seat frames from GSM seats for £154 are still needed but you dont use the runners that look like they come included in the £154 kit because you use the clio runners and these all bolt together 'lovely jubbly' yes?

I do hope I can transfer my paralysed ass into the car after all this! (and ive not even had the challenge of fitting them yet)

Matt where did you buy the rails from? Icant see your type?

ITS CHRISTMAS! The Recaros have finally arrived. So excited!

However, upon opening them, I'm left with the deflated feeling of "....is that it?....."

The Trendlines
[album]8014[/album]

And the bottoms
[album]8015[/album]

The sub frame
[album]8013[/album]

Which look nothing like this: GSM Subframe (despite the description declaimer)

£154 (each!) for a couple of bits of metal and some cable ties?

I'm a little gutted as it took me ages to get the complete OEM seats out including the runners, whereas I now have reuse the old runners, which will need a good cleaning up.

For the total amount paid I'm wondering how much the actual seats cost and how much the "Recaro" label cost....

no way am Ipaying 300 quid for those runners. Get them measured up and send them back and make some? need to modify the reno handle though.
