Recaro's

Williams":1ra85ys1 said:
For the purist OEM owner, it may be worth noting that the after market subframes and the OEM Recaro subframe, fitted to Clio 2 from new by Renault are slightly different. The subframe sides on the OEM frames are sloping/chamfered as seen on the 182 Trophy where the numbered plaque is fitted. After market frames have square, virtical sides.
To those relatively new to the RenaultSport Clio thing, Trendlines identical to the 182 Trophy were also an optional extra from new from 2005. So it's not just seats and frames from the Trophy that are available as OEM replacement ;)

Still very hard to find though... :s

Same subframes on the meganes? Just so I can widen my search [smilie=thanks.gif]

No Megane subframes won't fit but the same seats in the Meganes will.

Good to bear in mind that you will need to add cost of subframes onto the price then. Merci

It's probably worth buying a 182 with recaro's for 3.5k switching the seats & using the 182 as a daily driver ;)
Shhhh don't tell anyone cos that's my plan lol

You should buy my Recaro Style Topline seats, The covering is not everybodys taste but my plan was to get them redone in leather any way.

Full electric with with cooling and heating........ I think Capital want about £1300 odd + vat each for them.

I'll give you at least a grand off each seat......... [cmilie=iconcheers.gif]

Honda seats are the same base but the colour of the fabric is not to my taste :(

Just found a used set of Trendlines from a Honda Accord Type R and have a local trimmer lined up to recover them. I'll get the subframes and see you they feel, if I dont like I expect somebody on here might want them

How does the seat belt pre-tensioner fit/hide when you have Recaros fitted?

Have a look at the following diagrams, which should answer your questions re fitting Trendlines. These instructions came with the Clio subframes I ordered with the seats. Note Item 12 in Diagram E in answer to your above query.

Cover for seat belt pre-tensioner - should be included with the subframe kit

Remember that you can fit the new seats and subframes without removing the undertray, you can do it from inside the car.

Inside the car fantastic news, I thought I was going to have to get underneath. Are you bolts easy enough to get to then?

You have to first remove the screws from the back of the centre console (bolt at back)
This allows you to lift it and to get at the seat bolts.
Unbolt all of them and you can lift seats straight out.

And I'll need the air bag resistors. I'm expecting somebody on here will have an answer to this or say a name of somebody that has some in a drawer somewhere.
Why do you guys always care about resistors? Just go to your trusted Renault dealer and tell them to reconfigure the airbag system!

Ian.. just taken this from my thread a few years ago...

Hmmm... well I think i've had a pretty good look down all links etc.. and cant see the size anywhere. I can tell you its the two brown colour wires to bridge and NOT the black one..! lol

Must be just about every other detail and senareo there.. just not resistor size.. :(

I can always measure it when the seat are out. Was just trying to be prepared..

Thanks for the help guys! Much appreciated!

As Matt pointed out, we now know the resistor size to be 3.3 ohms, and that he did end up wasting 40 quid.. lol ;) Sorry Matt.. ;)

Matt are you using the existing Clio runners then? Leaving only This Part in the car? Which you then bolted a subframe too? Which subframe? and does the handle interfere with the seat?

I was thinking exactly the same question. Or maybe it's was a difference between Ph1 and Ph2 seat fixings. I took my OEM seats out last weekend in preparation for the new Recaros and I jacked it up, took the undertray off, found the cone shaped nuts and hey-presto out came the seat. Well, it wasn't that straight forward cos the aircon pipes are in the way of the centre bolts.
