Adjusting Seat Rake Angle

Some people regard the seating position in the Clio V6 - and other Clio models. A common solution is to purchase after market seats such as Recaro, OMP etc. If you like the look and feel of the stock Alcantara half-leather seats then there is an alternative to making them feel more comfortable which may be suitable for you.

The angle of the seat is sometimes considered to be an issue contributing to the poor comfort. It is possible, therefore, to adjust the angle by simply placing spacer washers/nut on the mounting bolts which hold the seat to the runners (picture available ?). This will raise the front of the seat appropriately.

This adjustment has the benefit of causing the seat to support your thighs. A 6mm spacer will provide approximately 5 degrees of rake. A spacer of any greater depth should be avoided as there may be insufficient thread length to accommodate it.

Feel free to add any comments if you have tried this modification.
