5 GT Turbo R5 GT Turbo - Complete strip down and re-build #1

Hello everyone! its been a while! Got a question and know there will be many different points of view on this. The 5 has now passed its 500 miles since first start and is running really nicely!

Which oil should I be using? as I need to carry out an oil and filter change!

10w 50 I think is what I use & gets the @Brigsy seal of approval??

I personally use valvoline vr1 20/50 mineral oil in mine now. High zinc content to protect the flat tappets/cam, it handles heat well and oil pressure is superb.

If you want to use fully synthetic use 10/50. Its a good all rounder, oil pressure is good on it.

Avoid 10/40 Semi/fully synth. Oil pressure is usually sub par on it.
