So I decided with life being the way it is at the moment I have decided to send the car the Mike Dullforce to get the finishing touches done!


Hopefully next time I see it, it will be running and ready to go!

Not much at all now. Hoses and bits and pieces. Thought it best to get someone who knows the check it over and carry out the first start up!!

The car was finally collected and delivered to Mike at GT Turbo spares for finishing!

Bit of an update - After the car passed it’s MOT, I agreed with Mike that he should Road test and tune it for a better drive etc! While this was being carried out, the turbo began to leak oil! Midland turbos denied any culpability so it cost another £150 and 2 weeks for them to fix what they had previously refurbished!!! Anyway, Mike has since had the turbo back and should have the car ready for collection next week! I cannot wait!!!!

Disappointed to read that Midland Turbo denied all culpability for issues with the turbo….. They’ve been great with me, but I suppose every company can have an off day..?

To be honest Steve, Midland turbo were brilliant until we had an issue! Then all the previous good work was undone! The turbo hadn’t been touched until Mike fitted it and got it running! Oh well!!

Collecting the 5 tomorrow

She's back!!! Collected her from Mikes this morning, then dropped the truck and trailer back to Lutterworth and drove the 5 from there to home, smiling from ear to ear the whole way back!!!




What a journey, from the first discussions with you guys about whether to sand blast or dip, all the ups and downs in between are now all worth it. I have learnt so much along the way! Thank you to all you guys who commented, helped and kept me going when I was ready to give up and get rid!!!
Still got some tidying up bits to interior wise, but don't care! I can drive it again!!!
