Good posts :)

I had a full decat + free flow exhaust on a mk1 V6 and there was no drop in torque, although no noticable increase in power either.

Had a cat-back exhaust installed on my M Roadster and it then had a obvious flat-spot at 2krpm.

Engines vary dramatically.

Please can people post up if they have recieved their back boxes.

I am somewhat concerned that most should have been delivered / will be delivered soon, but no-one has posted up today that they have got their order.

I hope we have lots of happy customers.....

Peter

This is a good exhaust! However, the areas of development of the concept IMHO are to sort out the low end boominess as it is MUCH more tiring than the std box on a longish journey and the heat issues. A recent trip to Le Mans has the fans blowing almost constantly when at a standstill for more than a minute!

However, in the tunnels of Rouen chasing Ferrari's there is a ferocity about the bark it makes that get's you lots of respect!!! Also the guys standing at the side of the N138 on the trip back where very excitable when you blipped the throttle or gunned it out of a round about.............and the pops and bangs on the 2nd gear over run in town driving are a treat...........can't you tell I am enjoying myself!!!!!!

Got Mine Peter, came lunchtime, gonna fit it tonight with a bit of luck,

It looks very shiney, not all of the welds are polished but It still looks the nads, Thanks again, sorry to moan before was just very desperate to get it.

Will let you know on the results of the noise once fitted, I cant stop smiling.

OK, I've spoken to James @ QS. They are flat out right now and can't do much in the way of invesigation and refining the setup for at least 6-8 weeks. He's accepted the offer of a loan car (mine or freekymac's) to help with this. But I can't promise anything - it would appear to be a matter of trial and error and an exercise where there is little commercial value for QS in all honesty. But they are happy to help.

Of concern would be the heat soak issue - is this because the box is polished, and if so is this a problem with the KTEC, ProSpeed, etc.?

why more heat if the cats are not changes and the gas flow is quicker to escape - you get more heat with restriction.

Unless you're all revving the nuts off the cars cos it sounds good - hands up whos guilty!

I'm not sure of the extra heat malarky either. :?

Sure its not just hot where you were driving, and the car its getting a thorough ragging!

Peter :D

Ant & freekymac have reported heat problems - hopefully they can shed a little more light on this.

I can only think it may be because of the polished finish???

You have to look at the materials, S.S. will take up more heat than C.S. therefore you will radiate more heat with S.S.

Mine arrived today, hope to get it fitted middle of next week.
My wife is thinks i am completely mad that i have paid that much for it, you know that is a serious amount of shoes!!! :?
Have to admit does seem alot of dough when you examine it close up.
Still hoping it all works out ok after my recent box probs.

Fitted!!!!!!!!!!!

Took me just under an hour and a half, piece of piss really. hardest bit was getting the old clamps off.

OMG what a sound, I nearly wet myself when I started it up, cant stop driving it, sounds awsome.

I took some little vids, Illsee if I can put them on here later.

Well worth the wait I must say.

Cheers again peter.

Glad to hear it! :D

Received and fitted, got to admit it is fucking noisy, not sure whether I made the right choice yet.

Has anyone noticed an unusual smell for the first few hours of running these back boxes.

I didn't mean to imply the QS was generating more heat. I just meant it is bloody hot in the engine bay and must be killing the power.

And Mike, yes I have :D

IMO quite normal to have a bit of a smell as it has its first burn in!

We need video or some sort of recording!!

You are the first with the OMG to fit it. Can you describe the noise?
