I don't think anybody can say 'yes, it is going to go on without any problems' but it should do. The problem so far has only been with mine being too short on one side. Scott has said they can borrow the part it fits to if it helps them to match it up. I doubt anyone else with have any issues.
Whilst we are talking about fitting, Scott replaced the two exhaust clamps on mine as they were seized up and put on a new exhaust rubber. Clamps are about £6 each + VAT and the Rubbers £20. Worth checking if Renault can get them in stock just incase as they didn't have any in London.
As for the sound; yes, it is going to sound fantastic – listen to the clip Big Chris put up.
The two exit pipes lined up well with the holes in the bumper (which is often the problem with the K-Tech apparently). I'll try and get some pictures up. As soon as you see it you won't be disappointed.
I presume Peter will be talking to QS tomorrow to get reassurance that the other orders will be made correctly. Hopefully they can extend the group buy deadline as well - I'm be a little concerned at this stage that the thing isn't going to fit
Just give them a deposit – with the 10 orders they have already it is going to take a while for them to make them all anyway. QS made it clear they were not dropping the price of the exhaust, just giving Peter a good deal for sticking through a bigger order (and to get rid of Peter's pestering).
£567.63 including VAT and delivery. Non group buy price is £810.75 (excluding delivery). I'm just guessing about the deposit as I paid mine in full when I ordered it but I doubt they would have a problem with it.
No-one can ever truely give a 100% gaurantee for anything, BUT this issue has come to light with the first 1-2 back boxes. As such it will be resolved by QS and there is no reason to assume it will affect the later orders.
I will update further tommorrow after speaking with QS.
Don't worry guys no-one will have to do any modification to get these to fit! They WILL be a straight swap!
Both mine and Ants back boxes were made together as the first batch. These are made using a "jig". As such it is very likely any error will be carried over to my back box as well.
However this means adjust the "jig" and all subsequent back boxes will fit perfectly.
Those shots of the box on the glass shelf are absolutely stunning! I'm amazed! Its a apity so little of it is seen behind the centre section. Only option would be to cut that out......it really does resemble that dogs danglies too!
Your right; there isn't a lot that can be seen through the grills/grill gaps. I reckon if it is that look you are after then the new K-Tech is the better option as it looks like it has been designed to be very visual. Not sure what it sounds like?
Thats what I thought....the K-Tec box defo has 2 bits to it which should show through either side behind each grill. Not sure what to do now. Those pics have really done it for me though! The quality looks second to none and the sound has grown on me! I don't want to cut the centre out though. With the recent K-Tec comments not sure if I want to go with them now?
Your just used to polished stainless steel. Its just unpolished. Renault probably also coat it to protect it further. Count your blessings its not rusty mild steel rubbish!
