Q S exhaust

Clarkie,can you tell us how you got Peters Quicksilver to fit? Heat and large bar or cut and re weld?

There was no cutting or welding! :shock:

......Anybody that has fitted one has had to have them modifyed to make them fit for starters.

Not true. Mine fits fine. Admitedly Scott didn't get it on perfectly first time round but clarikie has got it spot on. Others have been fine too. There have been a few issues with some but they are the minority.

As far as i can remember there were issues with fitment,Scott sent a jig to quicksilver to help them,Made little differance as when i got mine it didnt fit to good either.There was someone on here advising to put a large pipe inside tailpipes and lever them over.This plus the noise issues = nightmare.

The first 2 made were mine and Ants. My zorst fitted perfectly but after a long drive home moved up a bit on the mounts. Ants was not quite correct (tail pipe spacing) and thus was sent back and adjusted.

HELP . After reading all your comments on exhausts I'm totally confused !!!! I use this as an everyday car but not on long motorway journeys. Does "Youtube" have any good examples ??

Short'ish journeys sounds ideal with these type of exhausts. I know my ears ring after a long trip, but on blasts around town it's just smile factor.

On the North Lakes meet a couple of weeks ago...I drove all the way home (circa 75+ miles) with earplugs in..!!!!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: Mind you....I had driven a total of 250+ miles all day - by which point, my ears wear seriously ringing....in fact, they were still ringing the following morning...!!! :lol:

...Fact is though, I'd NEVER take the OMG off....it sounds too special..!!! :wink:

stuff the warrenty and just do it oh and change all the coils so you dont have to post anything about dash board lights and running lumpy enjoy the car thrash its nuts off and mod it

Yes it drones but so what. It isn't going to kill you....part and parcel of an aftermarket exhaust with next to no baffles.

I drive with the engine covers off now and sounds incredible! And thats as loud as you'll get...

Spokes did you pass me going through Cookstown yesterday at about 1.30?
