After owning this car for the last 18 months I've had to say goodbye. The arrival of my baby daughter left me no choice. Does anyone know of the new owner? It's had quite a few mods done which took me ages to find when I owned it?i

I think I could have messed up with my photo bucket link.! Will give it another go.

Hopefully this should have worked. Only had a home computer for a week and still learning the basics. Don't think I'm doing too bad though considering!

fixed them for you. :approve:

I remember seeing that feature too...........
I wonder if this car will ever emerge on here at some point....would like a closer look at the nitrous setup.

I'm sure i've seen this near me a not to long ago, it also had tt cab rear hoops fitted behind the seats, think i have some pics of it when it was up for sale as well. Will dig these out if anyone wants them posted.

How sad am i with pi'cs of other vee's, anone else do that?

All mk 1's have clear panels in the engine bay (I think). The engine in mk 1's is different to mk 2's and is much more of a visual feature of the car. A mate of mine has a mk 2 and I found the engine bay area a bit bland in comparison to the mk 1. Mk 2's have a solid flat back panel whereas mk 1's are contoured and show off the engine.

With the pending arrival of the baby I had to get a new car as obviously 2 adults, a baby and car seat etc wouldn't fit into two seats! I tried to find a buyer privately at first but had no luck whatsoever. I eventually part ex'd it for a different motor but that wasn't easy either. Getting a dealer to take it on was virtually impossible, even my local Renault dealer wouldn't touch it. I used it on a daily basis and couldn't afford to take it off the road and use it as a summer car so my options were limited.

I do miss the noise the car made and the glances you got where ever you drive but I don't miss the cost of running it and the constant replacement of coil packs!
