Soooooo, how do you start a thread on such an epic weekend..
Thank You to all who organised it and to all my mates ,old and new who made the weekend just extra special.
Like many it was a mare of drive to get there but to be met by smiles and a sunset to die for ,it really made up for it.
Thank You for sharing the garage space, the wind on Friday evening left me a little scared for my own safety, let alone a 5 metre gezeebo taking flying lessons.
All set up and happy to give and receive man hugs, big hugs, bear hugs to so many of you I haven't seen for years.
Highlight of the weekend was Big Steve dropping adeys deep 10mm sockets into an abyss of an engine bay...his own
After I had stopped laughing,I did laugh a bit more..but as much as we looked,it was gone..shuffled the car around,a few sudden stops and launches but nothing dropped out.
A jack and extra tools later had the undertray removed,my gynecologist fingers probing all they could but alas, the 10mm was not to be found..hide and seek champion of 2024.
I think that is when we all said our goodbyes to lost soul.I was then fortunate enough to be gifted a passenger band by Big Steve, Thank You brother..and had the most awesome time with Sibley,Bondy and Brigsy..woo woo and Thank You all..still smiling now
After packing away I took an eventful trip for some low down adventures with Sukhi..,ha ha..awesome little off road trip , found stuff, found a place ,found an open gate and rally course..of course the sign didn't say " No Entry" or we wouldn't have driven through it.. but wow what a trip to part of the island I never knew existed.. danger danger, even Google maps offered to call the coastguard as it thought we were sea bound.
Back to the top for an epic sunset which was then turned into a complete photoshoot with Sibley.. he went full on Director and soon had the cars placed for epic shots, have to agree,he was right..what a way to end Saturday..
Sunday morning, stayed for breakfast, nice, watched the first hour or so of the trackday, nice , as I was driving out the circuit ,my pikey eye caught a glimpse of something shiny, noooooo, couldn't be that lucky..stopped the van and jumped out , ran behind to see the long lost friend of a deep 10mm socket..I didn't give any thought of picking it up,ran back to the van for my phone..I needed to let Big Steve know the 10mm was not only found, but happily found..not sure how excited I was but my smile hurt my cheeks.
Sooooooo, the little 10mm deep socket that will now have a little adventure back to Derby before it makes it way back to Adeys socket set with its family.. enjoy the pics, what an awesome weekend.
