PH2 front on a PH1

Johnler,
It sounds like you've got yourself a decent plan coming together there.
: )
On the whole:
Mk I are less bulky and have better visual lines.
MK II have better BHP, gear-ratios, interior finishes, suspension geometrics. (plus colour choices).

I'd be surprised if your 'rough diamond' iIliad owes you any more than a mint Mk I... so I hope you've weighed up your decisions about the keeper carefully.

Either way, they're an absolute joy. I've got one of each (because I couldn't make my mind up.)

Ive had both, and i struggle to think of one way, interior, exterior or dynamically...that the phase 1 was better...

sorry guys :race:

I think it was an iceberg in Earl's court circa 2000 that sold me the dream...
I was mesmerised!

A similar thing did it for me. It was a local guy with a ph1 with me.

Same here personally. Phase 2 was defiantly an upgrade over my phase 1. I prefer the lines of the second one. All in the eye of the owner though.

I remember Neil (the owner)of Four Ashes Renault (independent specialist in Wolverhampton) put a ph2 front on a damaged ph1 years ago,

This is actually the car (the pic is in the photo grave yard section on this site)
It was in about 2003, just before I brought my vee

she's not rough and it may be owes me a little more than what you say (mint phase 1), it wasn't damaged in anyway apart from a few scratches to the rear bumper area, and the normal, ( odd stone chip's) but then the guy with the transporter cough the bottom of the front bumper when taking it of the transporter right at the bottom of the ramp's, was gutted but, Ill need to paint it anyway for the reasons of stone chip's, It turned out to be a really nice car, and for the reason is why I've decided to keep a clio V6 for hopefully some time to come, I don't do many miles a year, maybe around 2-3000 and I don't need to pay for any maintenance cost, (apart from part's ) and keeping a service book stamped to after sale value, because I can do all that myself, or have a few friend that can do what I can't

Out of chose I would keep the phase 2 like the colour and look's, But this might change when I view a phase 1 again in the flesh but the phase 1 in my mind is there's way to many silver one's, but for some reason they seem to look better in silver ( does that all make sense ) I thought I wanted another M3 but I think the clio has got back in the blood again, I never thought that would happen again after my old 172, and it was a good find finding this site reading up on all the problems solved and looking at all your car's

are there any yorkshire members on here,,

sorry to witter on

Arre sorry but it was meant to be a bit of a joke , I've put better pic's up on pistonheads tonight as I'm not sure how to fo it on here, for anyone who wants to see the car after a power wash , by my 2 little boys

I want ph2 front only because it would be easier to find a ph2 carbon bonnet, and it is very difficulty to find ph1 carbon bonnet! By the way, anyone could tell me where to find? and about how much? Thanks.

Plenty of Mk I's have had carbon bonnets - V6Max sold one a few months ago.
TBH I'm not a big fan - they spoil the looks and facilitate weight-loss at the wrong end!

You are right Kett, but I have already cut down the weight at the back side of vee around 50kg. So to be further cut down weight, front is the only way and it would be cheap to do so. Where I can buy the carbon bonnet and front carbon spoiler? Any Idea? Thanks. :salut:
