Clio oops I did it again... Adey's Clio 200 EDC

Right where did we get too? so oil and filter were swapped out a few days before CSF. Car was driven there, beat and driven home with no issues at all. Temps were great though if I'm planning on doing more track days I should try and get some more camber dialled in up front. I modded the strut tops a little and managed to get near -1.5 but I feel it needs a touch more.

CSF was the first time I've properly driven with the driver aids fully off and its a different car yet again. Totally happy with it though, from daily to fun car to track hack and back again. One of the best all rounders I've owned I think. Apologies to any of you I held up there getting the lines wrong or what not. It was my first time doing Anglesey

The slight knocking I occasionally get is annoying me still, so I've ordered up some new bottom ball joints to throw in.

Here have some pics of it doing its thing (y)

Just for @andybond .....

Finally got around to fitting the bottom ball joint. Decided to do it the driveway built way and with as little effort and removal of parts as I could. So here's the method if you don't want to remove the complete wishbone. To get the wishbone out you need to drop the front rad support panel out of the way, which I cba to do.

Undo the bottom ball joint from the hub, Undo the track rod end. Swing hub out of the way. Angle grind the top and bottom off the ball joint. Junior hacksaw through the side of the ball joint casing. You'll know you are through when the blade gets pinched. Tap with hammer and it'll drop out. Place new ball joint in the hole, using a plate to spread the pressure and a 3 leg puller, press the new ball joint home. Goes so far and stops but does leave a gap between the wishbone and lip of the ball joint. My old one was like this as is the other side, so assuming it's normal. I couldn't add enough pressure to move it further. 45min job jobbed 👍🏼

Nice and easy arent they. MK4 Clio is the easier heater matrix ive ever done too, glove box section out and its right there, slides out with some clips and screws.

More upgrades incoming thanks to @Danith. He is selling up and going back to a boring German car so removed some bits from his car (y)

Nearly new Brembos and pms brackets, some budget pads but also some Mintex m1166 pads. Also included are some braided brake lines. A red RS start/stop button and some 17inch Tibors with MRF track tires.

Excited to get the brembos fitted (y)

Look like some serious stopping power now.

Did you find you were lacking when at Anglesey?

Could feel them getting hot and running out of pedal once cooked. That said I could have probably put better pads and fluid in. These do offer a weight saving and look loads better :D

#ManMaths

Seems legit from where I am sitting.

Was really impressed with the car when I was on my pax laps. On my list for candidates to replace my Passat when it dies
