Marks RX7 - lets break a rotary.

LED bulbs in cars that didn't have LED from new are now just an automatic fail. I have to say, given the amount of cars with piss poor LED lights (even that have them new), I'm certainly in favour it. It's mostly because people fit cheap, shit ones that have no proper pattern or cut-off and that don't work in units.

If you do get caught for whatever reason then maybe try Osram nighbreakers or similar. Those halogens that advertise +150% do generally work pretty damn well.
To be honest I can’t see me ever driving it in the dark 😂

Started the running in today, switched to a different pre mix, whacked some fuel in and did my first tentative 25 miles or so, always a bit nerve wracking watching out for any obvious issues.

All seems well though despite me not lifting the rear up enough so scraped drivers side arch on tyre, chipped some paint off so will have to get body shop to sort when bumper gets sorted in a few weeks.

Vital signs are good - oil, fuel pressure, coolants temps and AFRs etc. Will do some more miles tomorrow, I do love driving it but hard to stick to the running in rules haha

Is the running in different on these?

Everyone's views on running in tend to differ anyway these days.

Had a bit of a nightmare yesterday, went out around 4pm for a quick one hour blast to get the miles up whilst it was dry and sunny. A few miles in I was greeted with a flat rear tyre, admittedly I drove on a little bit (not far) and was greeted with this.

Less than 100 miles R888r ruined !

I was stranded for a total of 4hrs following a failed recovery attempt by AA due to my car being too low and my spare also having a puncture. I was rescued in the end by a Good Samaritan on the FD Whats App group. He drove from Gloucester with one of his wheels so I could get home.

Anyway, I was trying to curb my spending but feel I have no choice but to buy some new rims so today I’ve bought a set of Rota Slipstreams in Hyper Black. A more sensible 18 x 9.5 with some more 888s on order.

Hopefully they arrive before the weekend.

winner winner, I suspect it separated from being driven on then?

Yes I think that’s the most likely reason.

yeah, fair play to him for saving me.

Throw money at a problem. Fixes it EVERY time

I saw stavs post, what happened?
Checked tracking around 11am and it said they’d been delivered and I’d signed for them so I went mental for a few hours calling Parcelforce HQ and Gloucester depot about 15 times until I got answers.

Then around 3pm the manager of the depot calls me and says they’ve come back with the driver on the lorry and it was by all accounts an error on the drivers part.

More like he tried to steal them and got caught out as I went ballistic. Cunts !

Yeah that's what I think happened, hopefully they turn up (y) cheeky cunts
Apparently he doesn’t speak English, they were claiming they they had to get a senior driver to translate to him or some such garbage.

Surely the absolute bare minimum to work for Parcelforce is a basic grasp of the English language.

I forget to check this thread for a couple of days and all this happens FFS! I keep meaning to ask, does this car have some basic traction control or is it all analogue (Right foot control)
