Marks 2018 F80 M3

Mark Davis

Brapmaster extraordinaire
Sadly the shit box daily Merc failed its MOT and would cost a minimum of £600 to put right, it’s likely not even worth that so after many many years of procrastination and running numerous old bangers I’ve decided to treat myself to a newer toy/daily work horse.

A 2017 M3 with Competition Pack, 15k miles and some nice options. I collect it Friday, at least it will make the RX7 wait more bearable.

Well thats one way to alleviate the wait!

I saw a Meg4 RS for under £300/month last month, that was tempting, less than my car allowance payment from work (that doesnt go on a car other than running the Frank the Tank)

You can certainly get some good deals. I managed to get them down £150pm when negotiating. I don’t think they sell too many M cars what with the way the world is going with hybrid/electric.

There is a newer model M3 coming out soon but rumoured to be AWD, I would not of been able to afford new prices anyway so not too concerned about that.

Yeah but....£150/month is ridiculously low. I'm assuming the down payment isn't small to get that monthly, but still, it's stupid cheap.
I would spend your £150/mo on glasses and / or eye surgery.

Mark REDUCED it by £150 / mo not got it for £150/mo

m//// gang

flogging mine when the new m4 is out!

when the weather is better, we'll meet up for a rip and not use our indicators :yes3.gif:

I’ve also already been looking at the Litchfield upgrade. £600 + VAT for an extra 80hp and 100lb ft. I’d say that’s pretty good value.

Bootmod3 is the tried and tested remap, look into it. Perfect feedback, you can adjust lots of parameters and remap the gearbox also. And its £350

That's my next mod now my warranty is nearly up...and a exhaust...and nothing else!

BM3 is not as good as the ECUTEK stuff. Its pretty poor in comparison.

:)

Im unclear of the rules regarding modifying a PCP car, assuming as long as car goes back after term as OE then all good ? Although I have a BMW warranty for first 12 months so guessing I should leave it alone for at least the first year ?

What’s your take @clarky_gtt ?
