had The morning off work today, sun is shinning, so washed the 5, spent ages drying it, before putting it back in the carcoon (still the best car related investment)..
So I used the car Sunday, took it to work Monday... covered 50 miles, still have done less than 800miles under my ownership...
Just read your thread and I'm very jealous. This car is amazing. Lucky chap
If it was me, I wouldn't change anything. Please don't refurb the wheels or replace any stickers. Keep it with that patina, it's irreplaceable and tells a story. Otherwise it'll just look like a very well restored car if it was too mint. Just my thought's though.
Thanks for sharing the pictures and story.
Unsure atm, technically I am meant to be on holiday in Devon with the family, am deciding whether or not to bring the 5 up Friday, come home Sunday and go to Devin in the Astra, or to go Blyton in the Astra and straight to Devon on Sunday...or take the 5 to Blyton and Devon...
The 5 got some un wanted attention last night, sadly the security light in the garden didn’t go off... would have got some better quality pics of these twats.
Thankfully nothing of mine wasn’t taken, these guys were after tools and bikes, there was a car driving about and they were dumping bits in the car and the car would come back 10 mins later... so they are based within 5 mins of my house.
I have been planning of turning my carport into a garage, this has now increased the time frame for a garage... as well as some better lighting around the driveway and garden.
Scumbags, need shooting the lot of em. I left my entry gate open a few months ago overnight - one time - and there were scum suckers down my back yard snooping, they stole my wheelbarrow!
Then they used it to carry something they took from the neighbours, think it was crates of beer left outside or something. This is the shithead passing the front of my house with it.
