I woke up at 6, left my house just gone 7 and headed towards Maidstone for today’s show...it was abit chilly/fresh this morning, joined the motorway and....
Epic fail, engine stopped on a restricted bit of the motorway with no hard shoulder...
Pulled over, opened the bonnet, checked the usual bits... no reason for the engine to stop... then I remembered that I had turned the choke off about 1 min before the engine died.
Put the choke back on and I was up and running... can’t blame the car - user error.
Met up with Dan Tomkinson in his lovely white 5..
Some nice cars here, more lambos and Ferrari’s than Renaults, but the 5s got some nice compliments
Why would driving it to Blyton make a difference? There's plenty of opportunities to take the ol girl out for a spin, especially the summer months. Unless it's the mileage scenario, not wanting to puy too many on V value of car.

Nah just nice to get the 5 out and meet up with fellow Renault People... as for the mileage/value issue... I don’t care about that really, when I drive it I really enjoy it, just feeling lazy when it comes to the 5...
Covered some decent miles the other weekend to go to Pod and loved it...
I just wake up sometimes and think it’s time to sell it on (guess I miss selling cars haha)
It always crosses your mind from time to time . I nearly cashed the Renaults in and brought a V8 M3, You could by a lot of car for the money the 5 is worth .
Had a nice little catch up in Sevenoaks today with fellow Renault Owners...
Some lovely cars there, nice to meet with Like minded people, great to see some familiar face and put faces to names .
The 5 performed faultless (discovered a minor coolant leak - easily fixed), ticked over 26,500 miles on the way home... 1,500 in 18 months of my ownership.
