Is she still about, still miss her from time to time.

It was a big part of my life for 3 years.

Hope everybodys OK and the prices are starting to rise to better levels.

Iv never met you steve but would like to say what a fantastic job you made of number 185. Ed also kept it looking great and I'm trying too.
The car is pretty much as it was when you sold it with a few little changes.
Ed Swapped the steering wheel and Iv changed the seats and added a russosport splitter. If your ever my way your more than welcome to come over for a chat and as been mentioned I will be at kimbolton and I'm gonna make time to give it a good going over and make it look it's best.

Couldn't resist a quick picture from 7am Sunday morning parked outside Ely cathedral.

Car looks superb.

Was it just chance that those other 3 cars were parked behind you?

Nope it was a pistonheads run. Had already been on the road a couple of hours at this point so it was a chance to stretch our legs. If the other cars weren't behind me I'd of tried to get a better photo.

Glad you enjoying her, made the hard work to save one worth while.

I spent a long time deciding what colour to go for, nocturne and original silver were in the mix but I am glad I went the D61 route.

I must say the best mod I did was the lock increase on the steering rack, turned it in to a useable car not a embarrassment when trying to park etc.

Was always surprised more people did not do it on the Phase 2's along with removing the guts out of the second set of cats.

Enjoy Kimbolton, PS I still have a couple of meter of the alcantra headlining material if your interested.

I'm glad you chose d61 as well. It's a nice colour and not too in your face. Which I like. I'v never driven a vee without the steering mod so I Cant really comment on how much better it is. I'm not sure if it's ever been measured on how much it's improved.
Have you undertaken anymore projects since this one or did this one out you of?

Hi Rusty

Not sure I can top this one really but been restoring a Susuki GT550 of 1976 vintage for the last 6 years but just dont seem to get the time nowadays.
