Have a 1983 Gordini turbo,in storage for years ,slowly restoring /reserecting ,it runs drives stops, needs few finishing touches ,rooflining ,a few electrics to do but otherwise it's coming on OK ,done 90k ,any ideas of insurance value ,not resale it's not for sale.many thanks

I used to own NYL 307Y and i do own NYL365Y.
Gordini's are hard to price as they rarly come up for sale, must be worth £4k as is once bodywork and wheels sorted maybe £6-7k??

The £6100 and £5500 cars were very much projects in action.

The £9500 car looks superficially a complete , working car.

I would look at something around that mark.

Thanks that sounds about right to me it's only for Admiral insurance purposes not to sell.
The Gordini is only an add on to a multi car policy ( owned car since 1987 long storey)

I doubt a normal insurance policy would ever pay out more than £1,000 for any 5.... I would be looking for a specialist/agreed value for a 5...

It's a classic insurance on a multi car ,they needed lots of pics and information.
As I couldn't find any less than 5k I would argue a payout due to a total loss .
