Hello From Glasgow

Liking the look of this example folks but in the picture of the wheel has the calliper actually rusted and if so is that problematic?

Based on the advice I've had on here so far I'm actually tempted to sell my bike and put it towards the car which will allow me to SORN the Clio and treat it as a project whilst running my vxr daily driver.

Have you driven anything yet? I'd have a go in both a ph1 and a ph2 and then decide from there. Whilst the idea behind them is almost identical the execution was quite different and you may find you lean more towards one than the other.

Mileage is just a number and isn't at all indicative of how good or bad a car is, especially sunny weekendy cars like the vee. If I bought new and then left it in a barn doing nothing for 10 years it'll have next to no mileage but all sorts of mechanical issues no doubt.

Personally, I'd try and buy a car that's in the club or has been in the club previously. Things are an awful lot more straight forward when you can trawl back through posts about 'your' car.

Nothing as yet - maybe a Glasgow owner will invite me to have a nosey about their's hint hint lol

Totally agree though....going for an examplke which is known to the forum is a definite plus
