Yes the clutch cables are the same for the GTT and GTE, infact all LHD 5's use the same cable. 60 06 004 557, double check that with Renault before ordering incase the part number has changed.
I'd take the original Renault cable if it was me. There have been possible issues with clutch cable length and the cable quality on after market cables.
Nice to see something different. The engine looks the same as the Volvo b18e. These engines do run hotter than a Gtt so the gauge and fan temps are higher. The wrong sensor, a Gtt one will make it read higher but I think it looks correct. Clutch cable should be same on all models.
I'm also interested in the alternator mounts/bracket and tensioner on the GTE model. Would you be able to get some photos of these for me?
Also in your photos I've noticed the alternator fitted is not the standard item, it appears to be a later part which has an internal cooling fan. Would you be able to post the part numbers on the label please?
Reminds me of my mums old GTX 1.7, never forget asking her why she was going so fast through a 30mph and she said she was only doing thirty, but she was looking at the rev counter!!!
Interesting it appears to be a from a volvo 440 and has a slightly higher output. I'm still after the alternator bracket and tensioner photos when you have some time.
yeah, i think i'll just order one from CGB.
judging from the pictures i've seen of the OEM cable i think mine is aftermarket, so that might explain why it feels so bad.
