Hello to everyone,

Recently bought a new needle for the carb .
Is there a standard guide for the factory positioning when you screw it in ??
So that there would be no difference when replacing the old one with the new one ?

2.5 turns out from memory. Count out the old one? itll need setting from there still anyway.

also if you remove the old one, make sure the end hasn't snapped off in the body

I tended to turn it all the way in , so gently tight.

Turn it 2.5 screws out and then start the engine.

You can fine tweak it then and you will hear when the engine is "right" but exactly like you said it might possibly need more .
