5 GT Turbo Central locking issue

I have a 1990 GT turbo but no door locks and no central locking fobs. Can any old fobs be programmed to work with the car?

Or

I have bought a universal central locking kit I have found that the button creates a positive signal to operate the door solenoids so I set up the unit in positive mode tried to test on the dash off the car and it doesn't trigger the relay for the central locking and some times has some kind of short that cuts out my 12v power supply any ideas??

The canter console must receive a positive voltage to trigger the lock system via the pic below

Currently got the same or similar head scratcher so keen to hear your solution. I’ve got no door locks, actuators which work, OEM key and two OEM receivers. New batteries but nothing works and the central locking button on the console doesn’t activate anything.

Don’t seem to have a positive going to the switch so that might be a start however it must all have worked at one stage so trying to figure out a solution if anyone can advise how they went about it.

Thanks.
