Hi jack, i have a spare pump from a ph2, pump only, i have tested it and its in perfect working order. £100 posted , if you are unsure as its second hand i have a test rig and can show you it working under pressure. just let me know.
if you are unsure about fitting it in your sender unit post that to me and i will fit it in for free and post back.
if you can get me a pic of the ph1 sender that could be helpful.

Pump and sender unit

60 20 011 419 Phase 1 £344.42

60 20 012 058 Phase 2 £365.21

That's all the info I can find on them

thanks for that james, i found them cheapest at renault parts direct but 344 is still a shedload for a fuel pump!!! hopefully if someone has any ideas if the sender units are the same can sort something with spike and get it sorted. it is currently off the road so in no hurry, would rather get it right! :approve:

i might email renault parts direct and see if they can clarify if the sender is the same on both models

Hi

James is correct with the part numbers, the Renault system lists different part numbers so looks like they may be different.

I think we are all getting confused here, yes the part numbers are different because the sender unit is different. i am talking about the fuel pump within the sender unit that is NOT available from reno, ifi can get a pic of the sender i will then make a decision if i can split the sender to fit the pump. its no good trying to trace the pump number as it comes back not available. on the ph2 i have std pumps that when the sender is split apart just drop in.
if no pic is available send me the sender and i will see what i can do, all it will cost is the postage. or even bring it to me, i will let you know if it can be done or not.
i had this exact problem with my own car, i got hold of a spare sender unit but it had been stood so the pump was kippered, after about two months of searching i sourced the pump. i have a couple of spares now so all the legwork is now done. a good alternative to £350............let me know.
p.s. pumps that have been stored out of the tank, ie, dry are usually fecked and siezed, same as if the car has been winterised with no fuel in. mine are stored in two stoke mix after they are tested so are perfecto (see other posts on this).

Do you know who it's made by (Bosch?)?
again, without having a look i have no idea, i have never seen one from a ph1, the ph2 is a bosch but the part is unavailable. i would figure a the earlier car is older the same will apply. on the same note the ones i stripped from ph2 cars had two different part nos so who knows??

With the bosch number (rather than the renault number) you may well find one sitting on a shelf at one of the bosch dealers.

BUT WITH RESPECT, i tried all this when my own pump failed to no avail, bosch can trace who had what and this is / was a special for reno not any other vehicle, so that slims that down a bit. and anyway exactly HOW are you going to find THE ONE dealer who has this pump? spend a year ringing everyone in the yellow book....... i don't think?
i am trying here to give a helping hand to someone for FREE. i cannot see how me ringing all the bosch dealers for nowt is gonna help my blood pressure.
JACKO. your best bet if you are still interested is pm me with a view to sending your sender unit to me, i will , for free, tell you if i can repair it and if not i will post it you back, of course you will pay the postage. spike.

thanks ever so much for your effort spike!

if paul from Renaultpartsdirect would be some kind as to take to pics of the ph1 and ph2 and put them on here would that help you?

at least we would have some idea what we are looking at then :salut:

i will pm paul now :approve:

Why so aggressive?
Who suggested you phone anyone?, unless 'you' are the person needing it.
I'm just pointing out a possible alternative avenue.
I wasn't aware that it was a renault Clio V6 only pump. That really surprises me. It's very very unusual for such a part to be 'sole use'. If I was looking for one myself I think i'd double check that, but Id need the bosch number to do so. I know in the past renault often give the same part 2 numbers (and 2 prices) for different cars. I doubt Bosch do though.
I guess they're all computer tagged so they probably do know if there are any unaccounted for (not a problem I've had before because I've never had such a modern car before), but tracking systems aren't perfect and I do kow people that have beaten the system on 'unobtainable' parts.
As for phoning every dealer..... you can if you want but generally there are a few of the main distribution points that could be worth calling rather than every dealer.

I doubt RPD would stock even one of the pumps as they are not a very common item (yet), they wouldn't be able to just get them in for a quick peek. Renault wouldn't allow them to return them.

HI JACK, pics as i have said would be a great help but i tend to agree with james on the availability of one to actually photograph. i have never seen one so cannot help here. i cannot just guess i need to see the unit, but will be happy to help.
as for agression, it can become quite trying giving help to folk over a forum, i ask for direct contact to try and avoid this, i have exhausted all these avenues already through extensive research and contacts through the trade, i cannot see any other way around this problem.
