is the fuel pump on the PH1 a in tank or just a electric pump? im trying to source one and they are proving harder to find that hens teeth without having to shell out 300+ for a new one!
as i said, i have no idea if the sender is the same, this is why i asked for pics of one to compare with ph2, no problem with sending it as i saidi will do it as an all in price, pm me for details of paypal account.jacko21":3mpoz9b6 said:are they the same pump on both PH1&2 are they mate!
i have no idea about these things mate if you would be willing to send it to me and il get it fitted here by a friend
I think we are all getting confused here, yes the part numbers are different because the sender unit is different. i am talking about the fuel pump within the sender unit that is NOT available from reno, ifi can get a pic of the sender i will then make a decision if i can split the sender to fit the pump. its no good trying to trace the pump number as it comes back not available. on the ph2 i have std pumps that when the sender is split apart just drop in.renaultpartsdirect":21dd6jno said:Hi
James is correct with the part numbers, the Renault system lists different part numbers so looks like they may be different.

again, without having a look i have no idea, i have never seen one from a ph1, the ph2 is a bosch but the part is unavailable. i would figure a the earlier car is older the same will apply. on the same note the ones i stripped from ph2 cars had two different part nos so who knows??Alpineandy":2w22jus8 said:Do you know who it's made by (Bosch?)?
BUT WITH RESPECT, i tried all this when my own pump failed to no avail, bosch can trace who had what and this is / was a special for reno not any other vehicle, so that slims that down a bit. and anyway exactly HOW are you going to find THE ONE dealer who has this pump? spend a year ringing everyone in the yellow book....... i don't think?Alpineandy":11u3m5s0 said:With the bosch number (rather than the renault number) you may well find one sitting on a shelf at one of the bosch dealers.
