Will do Brigsy - just need to get a bit of perspex / glass with a hole in it and a pippet.

134868So. it's a Wednesday night and I'm in from the pub. I've just read Tricky....... sorry, Norwich Nicks thread about kids, no time etc posts and remembered that he was taking the piss.

Now, from a google search, I can drag and drop most things...........

Funny how people perceive things, I drop the tnt handle and the band reforms 🤔

I genuinely wasn’t taking the piss, just thought the good people of turborenault would like to see your happy faces 😂

WTF is going on LOL?
How can Nick post up stuff of mine but I cant?

I could see them through Facebook, as Andy said, I just copied and pasted from there. Might be the way to do it if you can’t get it to work the other way? I’m shit with stuff like that so it’s the only help I can give

Right the BT Cloud is a no go, it looks like I'll have to forego the auto sync function I'm paying through the nose for with BT and simply download the stuff I need from there onto my laptop then onto here. Life used to be so simple with crayons and lego LOL.

Nick - We had been waiting ages for you to do that so we could stealth eject you for being a spawney Norfolk pleb. You can apply for membership if you want to, but it'll cost you in the long run. Just Joshing though, it's not really re-formed, but more Ross had to do something to stop him going full retard and car therapy is one of those things. We found some time ago, that the more of you that meet up, the less gets done, so we're keeping it light on numbers, but if you need help one Tuesday night, and you can find them, you know who to call, the Ghos...............

You know what I'm saying.

Anyway - this weeks progress was @ Ross' - we spent most time clearing his garage in order to get his Bussa mini in there so we can sort a few niggles out before he sells it on to make way for some Renault based mayhem, and I mean really nutty stuff.

On the Fluffy front - the next thing is to drop the crank in for a re-grind and I now have the perspex and syringe in order for me to CC my head and start seeing where I am in respect to the CR of that engine. if we get on with that next week (which I doubt, I think we will be getting the mini sorted) I'll write up the process and go through it stage by stage inc' pictures.

I need to grab some time to drop the crank off during the week so that I can have a chat about it and see what he thinks need doing, either a polish or grind.

Take care all ....

All the shells took a bit of a battering. once the valve let go, the turbo exducer was demolished, piston number 1 went for a Burton and saturated the oil with sharp bits of shrapnel. Everything is now out, but I'm now faced with having to preasure wash everything then de-grease and put back together. with a re-ground crank, new shells, timing chain etc....

Next up is look at the replacement head - this is a ported head that has been slightly over skimmed @ 72.5mm which I've worked out that each chamber has 43cc capacity. armed with this, I'm now going to look at how to work out the compression ratio this will give me before making my mind up about how to progress further. I have never done a HC engine, but I remember they went rather well being very torquey. I'm not entirely sure how the efi / fairly large turbo and valves are all going to work together and there is also a possibility of throwing my Skoda inlet manifold on for good measure, but that may come later as my Micky T Mk1 has done me proud over the years. 134975134976134977134978134979134980134981
