Extra turbo

Theres been a few after hours parties in the van over the years:grin.gif:

Give the top mounts and springs a de rust and paint in poundshop black aerosil today. I would have preferred blast and powdercoat but no time at the moment. Rebuild tomorrow, my coilovers have arrived but typically as the folks were out they left them with a neighbour (Who i dont like) o_O hopefully get them back without putting my size 11's through the door lol

Its a long story ;) got my parcel yesterday eventually. Avo have done a sterling job, new damper rods and internals for £120. Combined with new wheel bearings the van drives very well..turn in is very good again and no more knocking/vibration. Sometimes you dont realise how bad something has got until the parts have been renewed. Here is a pic of the rebuilt struts before refitting. No pics after fitting as i wanted to drive it. Next weeks jobs are oil change, tappet reset and boost leak diagnosing. The boost has dropped a couple of lb so need to find that before a run on the rollers.

I find that hard to believe. I dont think I have ever met anyone like you. You seem to like everyone !

Apparently his biceps are now overflowing the house and spilling into the neighbours garden, knocking over the bird bath. Said birds were upset about this and shat on Brigsys cars, hence the mexican stand off we now have between rippling arms and bird poop.

Personally Brigsy I think you should crush his head between your thighs like a walnut in a nutcracker :D :D :D

A few recent updates. Refitted the rebuilt avos and got the tracking done. Give the engine bay a polish up. Had every part of the boost cct off to find a boost leak, one hose clamp had come slightly loose so back to the usual spike of 1.7bar to 1.6-1.5bar held.

Tax has ran out and mot due soon so might be off the road for a couple of months then back out in summer:)

Great power there mate

I'm not totally up to date with the new tax laws. But can we now tax cars for a month at a time rather than having to tax them for 6 months? Would be very handy if this is the case???

From what i gather the old direct debit method is over 12months, so you can pay by month with an extra charge. I only do 6 month at a time, going to tax the gtt this month then the van probably may to offset things a bit.

You can pay:
12 months in full
6 months in full
12 months, monthly, by direct debit.

-I guess you can cancel the direct debit after a month or two, if you wanted to. I don't believe there are any excess charges for that.

Small update took it for mot a couple of weeks ago and passed straight away, mot testers words were 'brigsy i ddont know why you bother bringing this for mot as its only done 700 miles since last one' lol. Ill tax it soon.IMG_20150328_134355.webp

Sadly apart from 4 mile to the mot centre its not moved a wheel since the run down to Rstuning. I really need to get it out and about more. Its totally ready for action

The cheap nights are back on at teesside autodrome now the light nights are here, i may participate in one of those soon. Might have to splash out on a new set of pads upfront first as had smoke bellowing out last time:D

About time i pulled my finger out and got the van back on the road. Going to get the battery on charge then tax at the end of the month. On the hunt for some part worn full slicks for blyton, could do with some new pads and brake fluid change too but nothing too major!

Been looking at a few rolling road graphs over the years today. Fairly consistent over 200hp.
