Ex Renault Press car Clio Cup(CL10 CUP reg) for sale for 1st time

When the RUK Heritage fleet was sold off last year a couple were kept back by the dealer that RUK Sold them to.
The WIlliams' is yet to surface I think but the Alien Green Clio Cup has now appeared on Collecting Cars and is being sold with the CL10 CUP reg plate which surely has to add at least £5k to the price.
Price Guesses?
Normal low mileage car £12K as green is rare.
This one double that?? £24k? to £30k?

That is really something. :approve:
Dig the plate too.
It might struggle to hit big numbers because some RS 200 Raiders on Collecting Cars didn’t fair too well around 2021. Wrong fan base for the site probably. Hopefully, that has changed.

Sold my immaculate red, low mileage, late model year RS200 last month for £8.5k so think 12k for standard is real top end despite the alien green colour.
Agree that they are yet to achieve the collectable status.
Proper hard core hot hatch though.

Still sitting on a Gordini 200 no 58 with 1600 miles on it, think we have a ways to go before they take off as last of the proper ClioSports

Incidentally, for anybody thinking about purchasing a RS200 - the 10 year anniversary of manufacture cessation has passed and the ‘old Renault hang up’ of not supporting replacement parts has begun. I’ve just rushed to acquire £2k of some suspension parts in need on my Raider whilst bits are still available from France.

Seems there are bugger all parts left, just had 2 bolts arrive which I ordered 3 months ago, ordered 6 but only 2 turned up for the R27 197 F1 Teams we have, not very reassuring, typical Renault crap service and antipathy

Plate surely isn't worth £5k!

I'm constantly amazed what people pay for seemingly crap plates on Collecting Cars.
Clio owners maybe less so but you never know!
The auction is up to £16500 so far with 3 days left to go (+ 7.2% buyers fee of course which is another grand)

Finishes tonight t 7.40pm
currently on £18888 plus fee so £20248 which is reasonably strong and about double a normal car with no media profile or the plate.

WOW. £30,001 on the hammer so 1 pound over my top estimate :) meaning £32,161 with buyers fee.
A nice addition to a collection I would think.

I was well off the mark on that statement ! Clearly they have certainly now achieved collectable status.
