engine management light problem

hi all. recently the engine light came on the vee, it dissapeared shortly after but has since come on. i purchased a obd2 reader and the code is p0173.

im having no issues with the car its running fine, the only time i ever see smoke from the exhaust is if its been stood for a period which i would put down to condensation, just wondered if anyone had a similar issue or any advice on where to look

thanks in advance

Bump this up. Cancelled the code but it has come back. No issues with how its running! Suppose if I'm being picky it can smell a bit of petrol in the car. Not sure if this is just because of where the engine is or a sign of it running rich

Any help greatly appreciated.. Thanks

Imagine you've googled the code too, and it's hardly an obvious fault - "P0173 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 2)" :(.

How many miles did you cover until it came back on?

Yeah ive gave it a google! Answers are very vague really. Was hoping a member on here had a similar situation!

First time I cleared it, it spent an age being off to the point id almost convinced myself it was a mistake. Second time it was back within two days. No idea why the difference. Like i said the car dosent feel like it has a problem

Kinda reminds me of when I had an issue with an old 'tt' that claimed it was running to lean/rich but drove faultlessly. Turned out to be the maf sensor after replacing and coolant ring and lambda sensor upon 'advice'

It would be nice to solve the issue first time this time
