Make no mistake, thats a FAST car right there. If I were the Audi driver i'd be rolling back into the tuner asking them to sort out the lack of power "...because I couldn't even pull away from this shitty old 5 GT Turbo"

Yeah their tuning packages seem to yield around the 600hp mark from what I've read. Shame the rear view mirror spoils it as it shows the difference and how he was pulling away but at at point was above 130mph.
Yep car is running spot on, takes regular beatings at high boost and to be honest a pleasure to drive off boost.
Really keen to see how much more we can get out of it without catastrophic failure. I do wish I had gone with forged internals now but I'm still willing to find out how much a stock bottom end can really take.
Saving some penny's for a diff too, I have a nice refurbished box to fit it into.
Those bracing options look good Dave, Matt has been in touch today and said he will have something sorted by early next week. Not too fussed what it looks like as long as it does it's job.
Been doing a bit of reading on the RTOC archives today. ( I know, the enemy boooo lol)
Specifically been reading Glen Hi5's set up as was way before my time. Reading it all gives me the confidence to keep pushing the little C1J. Not saying I am going to go anywhere near the same extremes as he did or that my wallet is that deep nor do I think I will achieve anywhere near the figures he did. But I do think a reliable 300hp C1J is more than doable, I really wish I built it with forged internals now. If I break it at next mapping session I will rebuild it and go again.
I have read though that rods seem to be quite strong in standard form and I am hoping with a solid tune I won't run into standard piston/liners issues but I guess it is feasible that I will reach the point where these components fail.
Reading Glen's and Scoff's comments it would seem it had a lot of "head work" (to be expected) but doesn't specifically say what that is, anyone have any ideas? @Brigsy ? It is mentioned a few times that the cam is an old cam that Scoff had lying around but he did have good results with Piper 285 before with standard timing. It would also seem that he ran the GT3071 turbo, again not a million miles away from mine and looking at his exhaust/inlet manifolds they aren't too far off mine now either.
Also read a bit about Stuart Clark's 5, there doesn't seem to be as much info on his but seems that he stayed with carb with good success.
