5 GT Turbo EFI - GT Turbo

You can still run it outside the car if you're clever about it. If it was me i'd probably sack off the reserve tank and fit it all there. Or fit it all in the boot and run it through the floor and under the car.

Yeah I had planned to drill and run hose under car but the swirl pot itself was going to be mounted in the back.

Nothing stopping you fitting the swirl pot underneath the car ? Plenty of room where spare wheel was - thats where mine is going in the van. Had a car with a fuel cell/swirl in the boot never again stunk of fuel

Ah okay, I didn't realise they could be mounted underneath. Good to know.

Thats cos you used rubber pipe. I was the same, I upgraded to teflon, smell gone.

It was on my old twin turbo sierra back in 2004 was actually an braided setup not rubber. Fuel cell fucking stunk - never again and the noise of the fuel pumps was horrendous. No idea why anybody would want to fit the fuel system inside if you have room underneath. Would say it ruined a good car but it was shit:D fast yet fix everyday..

IMG_5802.webp Two things learnt today.

1) Forge actuator was indeed fisher price like @Brigsy said. Diaphragm split again so time for a new actuator, will try their piston ones as I've got a feeling it will be a freebie.

2) My fuel gauge is very inaccurate to say the least which would 100% explain my surge/leaning out issues the other day. My gauge claimed I had at least 1/2 a tank. Filled up earlier - see picture lol. Yes the car was almost empty. School boy error !

On another note it's Pugfest at Prescott today and whilst out and about saw lots of 309s, 205s heading that way. Unfortunately some poor sod won't make it there as his pride and joy was well and truly wrote off. It looked his mate in another 309 rear ended him, 2 309s wrote off in one short moment of madness. Sad

It does look really good. He says exhaust manifold will be done within a week or so. Really keen to see how this improves performance.

The inlet should deliver. I had one very similar planned last year before matt started making them. Glen noticed good gains when changing from the modified stock inlet
