5 GT Turbo EFI - GT Turbo

CTM called today, work is complete and winging its way to me tomorrow. I'll get some pictures up.

One question I do have as dumb as it may sound, when I remove existing head do i need to undo head bolts in reverse order of the required tightening sequence or can I undo them any old how ?

Yeah looking forward to seeing their work up close. Been a great company to deal with. I think Charlie is in a bit of pain though, he's done his shoulder in lifting an engine.

Head is ready to be removed tomorrow. Today I've removed water pump and blanking plate and fitted to new head along with refurbished rocker shaft. Using all new gaskets of course.

Also fitted a fresh set of studs to fix both manifolds to. Need to remove the 2 x rocker shaft threads of existing head and swap to new one.

More pics to follow tomorrow as I progress.

IMG_4896.webp Head is on and torqued to 75nm. Rocker shaft and all pushrods back in. I think that's half the battle.

Demon Tweeks sent the wrong exhaust wrap so can't fit manifolds until Tuesday now, thinking of postponing Scoffs next Saturday just in case I have some teething issues.

Changed oil and filter this morning then retorqued head to 85nm also did valve clearances again.

Will try and put a few miles on the car before mapping Saturday just to double check, I'm a little nervous with the MLS gaskets as people keep telling me they don't always seal. Just praying it doesn't give way under load on the rollers at Scoff's.
