5 GT Turbo EFI - GT Turbo

By the way I am expecting ALS to potentially cause mass destruction to my manifold, turbo and possibly other engine components. But for the purpose of science I believe it should at least be attempted.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Plus, excuses for upgrade of destructed parts :)

Exactly Dave, I have already been budgeting for forged internals when this one goes bang. ALS may well help it along a tad.

To be honest depending on what Chris wants to do I may just get the car mapped without ALS to start but all depends on how simple it is. I've had Adaptronics themselves on the case and helping out with ideas to make this work. Seems feasible but I must say I have been impressed with Adaptronics tech support. Very quick response and hugely helpful each time.

Booked in for Sunday 4th Sept. I'd prefer to trailer car there in case there are any issues.

It's about 2hrs from here to Runcorn, does anyone know of a service or anybody near me (Cheltenham) who could help out? Obviously happy to pay. @Adey Do you know anyone local?

I'll ask around bud but recently I've being using Shipley to.get cars moved around the country

image.webp image.webp image.webp image.webp Ive got some stitches in my back where I've had some moles removed so can't really do any hard graft for a few days in case they split or catch.

I did however manage to pipe up boost control solenoid and half of the idle control. I've used separate ports for FPR and map. I have used the middle rear inlet port to connect boost gauge, boost control and eventually EGR/ALS valve. Hopefully it will be okay to have these off same feed. I didn't want to tee into map, I do now have one rear feed free if I need it. (Currently blocked)

I need to pay a visit to Forge Monday as I need buy a few 90 degree hoses or preferably a 90 degree alloy joiner for the second ISCV port, it's in a really awkward position so need to have a bit of a rethink.

To save a bit of room I've decided to remove the fuel pressure gauge now I know I've got the pressure set correctly. I'll drill and fit bracket tomorrow.

I've also been down to B&Q to to raid their mounting brackets. I'm hoping with a bit of drilling and cutting I can fudge together a decent fixing point for coil pack. I'll spray them black when I've finally fashioned something. Will use gearbox bolts or old TDC holes to mount.

I'll then use split silicone hose as grommets where i've cut new holes in bulk head and scuttle.

If it were me, I'd do the idle valve here, bracket off the bolts on the throttle body and short pipework. You need the iacv to feed from above the TB and insert below it.

Another bloody school boy error by me. FPR is now in the way of strut brace. lol. Oh well will move it behind scuttle and have to make some holes for feed and return.
